What is the best way to protect your house from the Arizona Sun?
Well, if your house isn't already white I would paint it white to reflect the rays of the sun. An aluminum roof painted white would protect your house too. You can also apply window tint to the interior windows to reduce the microwaves from the sun. This will result in having your AC work a lot less harder in turn saving you on your electricity bills.
Another thing is to plant trees near your house to provide shade.

Do you use your AC in the summer, or keep the windows open?Personally I prefer to keep the windows open, but it tends to let in too many bugs for my liking. Do you do the same, or do you use the AC?
