An wall photo of the Eiffel Tower-by-night taken when I was there in 2003. A great reminder of good days gone by.

The cat. Actually, he's my 18-year old daughter's cat, but she is gone off to college and now he is terrorizing me. I can't shut the bedroom door because he will scratch to get in. He usually doesn't sleep on my bed or bother me during the night, but come first light he let's me know it's time to get up. He'll sit on a table near my bed and right by a window and paw at the blinds trying to look out. Then he'll jump on the bed and put his face next to mine and make cat noises. What he wants is for me to open the window so he can sit on the window sill and watch the birds who are making a racket.

Oh that to bad.  I guess a cage would not work either because he would not like to go in it.

Unfortunately the alarm clock. As I have seen upon my many awakenings during the night. It screams at me visciously telling me it is time to crawl out of my comfort zone and get ready to embark on the maddening escapade called the work day. YUK!

Yes that useful alarm clock can ruin a good dream and awake you to reality.

My bedside table or the ceiling. An ugly fan that I need to trade for one better, a TV in the room that doesn't work, clothes organized by color in the closet that I don't wear, etc.

That is an interesting mixture of memories of yesterday to remind you that it is a new day.

The time on my alarm clock. It's always the first thing I look at.
