Sorry I should have provided more clarification. The answer is: No. I have North windows and plants (houseplants) do not grow very well in Northern exposures so I am wondering if a Grow Light would help the Spider plant, which does only "okay".
Yes, grow lights work but they are expensive. Inexpensive fluorescent lights work just as well. Have you considered growing houseplants that prefer low light? African violets need indirect light. Ferns do well in low light. I grow both successfully in my north facing window.
