What is the difference between deep cleaning a house and just cleaning a house?

I have hired a house cleaning company to do a deep cleaning of my home every month. So far, it seems like just regular cleaning. How can I define "deep" cleaning?

If a deep cleaning is done every month then yes it will look like a normal cleaning because everything is still pretty clean from the last time.

For most regular people they do a deep cleaning every 6-8 months. This is when you get into every nook and cranny. You scrub out the inside of the oven. Wipe down every single shelf, clean the light fixtures.

Ideally, these deep cleaning tasks would be done every month but it's stuff that gets forgotten or put off.

If you're not sure you're getting your money's worth from your cleaning company ask them what the difference is between a deep clean and a normal clean. Get the specifics. Get quotes from other cleaning companies. Even if they aren't in your immediate area and see what their charges are.

Good idea. I can see how it would look the same. I actually clean up after the cleaning lady because she doesn't catch everything.

I deep clean every three months. there is a difference. I wouldn't pay deep cleaning fees evrfymonth there should'nt be any deep cleaning that often. When I deep clean I do vent fans, air intake openings. dryer vents and lint hose that runs outside. Deep clean, sills, tracks and glass on windows. Kitchen hood vent and Furnace filter and hotwater tank drain and refill. these are judt some of the things I deep clean and cost more when done for others. Once a month would just be regular cleaning unless you don't cleqn at all in between what they come in and do. I also purge and reoraganise kitchen and closets atr this time. Are they removeing stuff from closets and cupboard to deep clean and wiping all cupboards down? This would be included in a deep clean.

They are just cleaning. No cupboards or closets. I am thinking, I might have to find another company. I will talk to them first.
