Have you ever replaced your roof? What was the most challenging part of that experience?
We want to know what challenges you have had when replacing your home's roof.
I live in an area where severe weather sometimes results in whole neighborhoods needing new roofs, so my biggest problem has been door to door roofers ringing the bell, and taping flyers to my front door, trying to get business. Most of them are here today, gone tomorrow kind of companies that nobody in their right mind would hire.
This happens every time we have a bad storm, even if it's not bad enough to damage the roof. Guys come banging on the door, telling us we need a new roof, even when the insurance company adjusters have already been through, and told us we're good.
Even after I chose my roofing company, and had their sign in my front yard, indicating they were going to do the work. the vultures kept swirling. It was ridiculous.
Getting rid of the old shingles without destroying all of the plants around the edge of the house. And making sure all of the nails get picked up.
