    Hello Maria!
Excellent and informative article about the foliage plants. They are also called indoor plants, and I am happy that I have planted most of them. The good part is that they are easy to grow, propagate and maintain.
    Loved reading your wonderful article.
Thank you John, for sharing this in the forum.
My best wishes to both of you.

Thanks, Chitrangada. Yes, these can be grown indoors, too. They are called foliage plants because most do not bloom, and because people grow them for their foliage.

    Great write.

My favorite one is Hostas also.

We have a large section of them that have grown together and now don't look that great.

I'd love to move them beside our deck and seperate them so they truly look beautiful.

I miss having hostas. I'm working to create a shade garden on the north side of our house. It's the only place I have shade in the afternoon.

The best & easiest time to separate them is in the spring when they first send up those little spears of furled leaves. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Well...I'm way beyond that time frame.

Maybe...i can do a couple, but that depends on health...it might wait til next year

Yep, next spring is best. In the meantime, if they are suffering, maybe you could remove some of the leaves that overlap others. This may give the plants better air circulation, and allow them to hold out until spring. Best of luck to you.
