Well I am working on  line to make  money.  Why did I do it?  Several reasons:
    1.  I am retired and wanted to supplement my income.
    2.  I did not want to leave the house and work a regular job.
    3.  I set my own hours.
    4.  Make money as I sleep.
    5.  I am now working in my bath robe.
    6. I write many articles.
    7. I am my own boss and do not need to go to meetings.

First of all most people that are working in corporate america want to start their own business but not everyone wants to open a brick building for a business.

For people who want to be financially free going online is awesome to get started especially if you are a college student.

Lets face it for those people who want to start a business and are broke the internet is the best place to start unless you already have some money to spend to make a company.

So what makes us decide to earn online is our desire to be financially free and the lack of capital

I have been a writer/consultant for more than 30 years and the particular segment of the industry for which I wrote has dropped off the planet. I decided about a year ago to start looking for ways to make money online. So far it's been doing well and the best part is, the harder I work, the more money I make.

If i say about me so the best thing about earn money online is that you can work from home so you don't need to go far from home and you can spend time with family.
Second thing which i say about only earning money from writing is that you just write and forget and you will be earning till years and years.
Third thing is that you can earn money from the work you love to do.You don't need to make compromises to earn money.
These are the things i love about earning money online.

Three major reasons: 1. I wanted another means of funding my charity org. (IFF). 2. I wanted to learn a legal means of earning money online,so i can show the numerous unemployed youths in my country engaging in online scamming, the genuine way to earn living online,so i wanted to try first,so that i will preach what i do and sure of when i start telling them.  Lastly,i love writing,i enjoy it,it gives me the freedom to express my views to people accross boundaries, and while doing this thing i cherish,i still earn a passive income even after i decide not to write again, isn't that amazing to try? I ventured into it cos,i love to write and its amazing to earn while you are unaware. Nice thread...

I wanted to be able to raise my own kids rather than work all day to pay a daycare to raise them. That was the first factor that got the ball rolling, then later I discovered the benefits of having a completely mobile job that can go anywhere there's an internet connection. Through all sorts of life upheavals -- including a divorce, and more recently becoming the single wage-earner in a household of four when my husband became unemployed two days after my daughter was born -- I have been able to continue without missing a single day of work.

Such a unique question.  It offers the best flexibility ever.  Of course you need to know the basics of it, otherwise, you would get frustrated figuring out how to earn money online instead.

Thanks to hubpages and google, you can just search for the right sources to do it.
