At what age do you plan to retire?
Will you be financially comfortable or do you plan on retiring at all?
Not sure of the exact age. It will be when three factors meld together. One, I have no mortgage debt. Two, I have enough saved to support me in retirement. Three, I don't want to work anymore. I am targeting sometime between 65 and 67. Although, if I can work part-time, I may stay employed a little longer. Sort of a working retirement.
I plan on retiring as soon as I can financially afford it. In saying that, I'd like to live my life before I retire. I don't see the point working all my life just to be able to relax when I'm approaching the end of it.
Plus, I enjoy the work that I do, so if I can continue working past retirement or be involved in something bigger than myself, I'll retire when I feel like it.

By "retire", I don't mean that have to stop working, but you could if you wanted to. I'll probably work on personal projects and run a small business of some kind until the day I die, but I would like to be able to retire before I turn 40. When does everybody else here plan on retiring?

Do you plan on working after you retire?I just read an interesting fact from Employee Benefit Research Institute 2009 survey stating that "72% of workers plan to work after 'retirement'". Could that be true. I want to know your thoughts...

With increasing age related problems, the concept of retirement age requires to be re look into. Their is no point in working till 60 when there shall be limited scope of enjoying the retired life after that.

If you were not anywhere near financially ready to retire, would you do it anyway?Sometimes when you're so financially far behind, it seems like it doesn't make sense NOT to take a risk. There is no way we will ever be able to "comfortably" or maybe even SLIGHTLY comfortably able to...
