How do I talk with somebody about a mistake on my credit report
You can call them and if you dispute something against you, you can leave a letter with them explaining for anyone checking your credit to see. I got two bills against me a year or so ago from people I had never heard of, in a state I had never been in and it was in pretty large amounts and the credit bureau did check it for me and I had no idea they ever did that but anyway they dropped it but I would still like to know how something like that could ever happen. Pretty sure one was sears and I have never had a sears card, anywhere! But call the Credit Bureau and talk to them would be the first thing to do and they will tell you. May be different in different locations.
