For me, there is no method to use if you wanted to earn online. It's just a matter of finding the right avenue for your work. For example, I worked in Odesk, but I also find some other writing jobs outside Odesk. I also don't limit to writing alone, I also explore some other fields including transcription. If the skills widened, the chances of earning more online also widen.

If you have a special skill you can market it on a site called Fiverr.com. This site is full of people selling services for five bucks. I use it all the time for my business and it doesn't cost a cent to join and list your service.

There is little scope for earning any worthy money on line. Many people will promise you that if you are dedicated and do hard work, you can. But that's not entirely true. If you really work hard and be dedicated, what you will get from on line will be a paltry fraction of what you can get from outside if you really put that much effort.

My husband sells on eBay and has made $1,000 or more monthly.  It can be done.  I like to sell on craigslist and also on local facebook selling groups.

I also have a virtual work at home job that ties me to a large corporation and provides my family with health/dental/vision insurance and other benefits.  All of this is done online with my pc.

If you don't mind me asking Kansasyarn, does your husband sell for others on eBay or selling all his own stuff? I sell handmade items which brings a very small income but wanted to expand to selling others stuff. Was hoping someone could give me info

      Hi, HeatherH104.

He sells his own stuff.  He has cleared our home of clutter and occasionally buys things at thrift stores to sell as well.  Electronics do well as do cosmetics and tools.
