I found a $20 bill in the parking lot of a Target store once. I bought a Slayer CD with it :-)
Apart for wallets we have found and returned to the owner I found $30 one day in a car park in Australia .
I found a $50 bill next to a car parked outside my apartment block a few years back. I immediately suspected a neighbour of mine had dropped it, went to his unit and asked him if he'd lost any money. He puled out his wallet, checked and exclaimed. "Cripes! I've lost $50. I had five now I've got only four."
That's how I knew he was the man who'd lost same because I did not mention an amount. I can tell you he was very relieved.
The result was that we both felt better about that find: I as the giver and he as the receiver. Yet, in reality I gave him nothing. Definitely a win:win.
I think it was $20. Bought a VHS tape with that money. Yes, it was a long time ago!

So my friend took it from me. I had paid a small amount for it. Now, I got two mice from there (still trying...

If you found a large sum of money, would you return it to the owner, or keep it for yourself?Recently in the news, a Utah family found approx. $45,000 in the attic of their newly-purchased home. If you found that kind of money, would you return it, or keep it for yourself?
