    Life is a personal journey.
    1. Making bad or wrong choices causes us the most harm in life.
    2. Failing to learn from our mistakes and blaming others keeps us down. The only person we can control or change is ourselves!
    3. Refusing to have goals/plans and adapt to changes holds us back. A ship without a course is likely to venture into rough seas.
The worst thing a man can do is choose the wrong mate for himself and having children before he has established a career for himself. While no one would call (their children) a "mistake"  the real issue is "timing" and not being prepared to give them the best.
Making life more difficult for yourself doesn't enhance a child's life.
The first step is to love yourself enough to stop hurting yourself by walking around on auto pilot or letting others make decisions for you. One has to be aware of their options and the potential consequences of their actions at all times.
Be very selective of who you associate with. Seek out mentors or read biographies of those with similar backgrounds who found a way rise above their circumstances. (not just entertainers or sports figures but also entrepreneurs) It's been said that "success leaves clues". Whatever you want someone has it. Find out what they did!
If two people follow the same exact recipe they should get similar results. Always continue to work on yourself to form new and healthier habits. Each night before going to bed write down the 6 things you want to accomplish the next day. Having discipline to follow through keeps a lot of folks from getting the things they (say) they want. A goal is a dream with a deadline.
Guard your dreams from "naysayers" and "dream killers". You want to associate with those who have done it or are on the same path.
Never stop learning! Read books that inspire you, network, join groups or organizations which encourage you. Check out Meetup.com along with various groups on LinkedIn.
"The world may not owe you anything but YOU owe yourself the world!" Do your best to have the best.
