How offensive do you find this costume?

I'm not normally one to whine and complain about a Halloween costume, but this one crosses the line.  Do you find this extremely in bad taste?  I mean, look at these two idiots.  What were they thinking?  What are your thoughts?

OMG. What makes it worse is that it's not a halloween costume. They wore it to a Sci-Fi convention where they could be seen by 70,000 people.

Well, I suppose it depends on how many other people wore the same costume...... then, the impact would be zero.

I think it'd be worse if all of them wore it.

Sorry Loli.....I have no idea what it is.  I've stared at it for 5 minutes straight.  Cannot make out what it's suppose to be.

Paula, I know at first it looks like a basket of flowers, but I think it's supposed to be the 9/11 Twin Towers after the planes hit them

Oh please.....What kind of sick, thoughtless morons would do something so egregiously upsetting and ignorant.  I hope people ignored them or told them just what they felt!!  They're plain stupid. What's that have to do with Sci-Fi??

It's inconsiderate especially to those who lost a loved one.

They look like John Kerry's Iranian nuke negotiating team.  Next time there is hostage crisis, they can be trade bait.  Ridiculous.

If they wore these anywhere in the New York area I hope they received an epic ass kicking.

You know that would happen in NY...especially if they paraded past the NYFD in the WTC area with that crap on.

I have cousins in NYC who would be happy to participate in that ass kicking.

It is tacky, and I would say that to their face.
But I'm not going to destroy it or ban it, just as I would ask SJWs not to attack people for wearing costumes they consider "cultural appropriation".

You do have a point there.

I don't think there's any chance I'd ever find this costume funny, or appropriate. There are just some subjects that should be left alone when it comes to Halloween costumes. In my book, this is one of them.
