Sean Spicer WH press briefings camera and sometimes audio black out: the reason?

Will some Republican PLEASE come here and tell us why this "no cameras" deal is actually a good thing?

White House Bars Times and Other News -  Yet Conspiracy Site Gains Access To The White House Press Room.  Only Softball Questions at White House Briefing Are Welcome

I know it's a small room and there are many reporting agencies but it appears the message is 'play nice' or 'get out', which is not the job of a reporter.

Bit by bit the lock-out by DJT WH is denying access to us, the people from the government’s official duties and business which is fundamental in a democratic society.  Press conferences have become the major way to explain the intricacies of WH policies as the proposals make their way through the legislative process since WW in 1913. In a representative government, citizens expect to see their leaders respond to questions from others. Reporters act as surrogates for the public. - https://www.whitehousehistory.org/presi … onferences

"I regard it as rather necessary to the carrying on of our republican institution that the people should have a fairly accurate report of what the president is trying to do, and it is for that purpose, of course, that those intimate conferences are held." [Coolidge 1926]

"Information is the oxygen of democracy. If people do not know what is happening in their society, if the actions of those who rule them are hidden, then they cannot take a meaningful part in the affairs of that society.

What is the DJT WH obstructionist strategy? Usually governmental secrecy is a 'Shield for Tyranny, Incompetence, and Corruption' - how can anybody defend the concealing of bad governmental behavior?

Perhaps it's not as all sinister as that perhaps the article "12 Signs of Cowardly Leadership" explains it. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffschmit … c1d3c43b6c

But there is a case for denial of information because although 59 countries have' Constitutional Protections of the Right to Information', the USA is not one of them. -  http://www.right2info.org/constitutional-protections

Perhaps when zero info comes out of the WH when it operates in complete bunker mode in the future then will the press corp will sue?

A press that is free to investigate and criticize the government is absolutely essential in a nation that practices self-government and is therefore dependent on an educated and enlightened citizenry. - Jefferson

A press that hides the bad of 1party while trying to make the other party look bad is not the press, but a biased party working here for Dems
That is not news,Jefferson never met the Democratic Party or Clintons, CNN, MSNBC. Opining is not reporting

@Brad = please tell, what news agencies do you listen to? The Hill? Or Brietbart?

There aren't any real news agencies. I like to look at whatever raw footage there is of events. I don't need interpretation from anyone.

I have seen the live WH briefings and they are not the press, they are a lynch mob looking for a rope.

I find myself wondering what country you live in. Nothing you write resembles mine.

OK Brad, Full unedited raw footage. Next time answer a Q, please share this video with a link?  Sometimes it's difficult to find full unedited raw footage. Sometimes can be found on RawStory.

I found these groups;  Ballotpedia and Politico
Politico is more opine but gives the direct stuff and Ballotpedia demands rigorous non-partisan by their not very good writers although factual.
These companies should grow you should support.
