Isn't it time for "America's Minority Party" to AMP up & make demands of other parties?
Neither major party is doing a credible job of meeting the needs and the just demands of America's minorities such as Native Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, Muslim Americans, Latino Americans, Puerto Ricans, et als. If they were to coalesce into AMP (America's Minority Party) they would surely be more powerful than the old Dixiecrats, or the Tea Party. Divided they have been afterthoughts of modest interest only at election times. Combined they would have substantial power from having "the swing vote" on things that currently divide Republicans and Democrats: togetherness!
It's a good thought in theory, but I don't think it is party egos that are keeping them apart. You didn't name names, but have you looked at the platforms of the two major minority parties lately? Telling Greens and Libertarians to combine is about as good as telling Republicans and Democrats to combine. Seriously, the Greens are too one-sided and liberal, and the Libertarians seem to want to stay with their own isolationist ideas. They don't think globally or their candidates might have had a chance. those guys may be good governors in their own rights, but did they every need some geography lessons!
Or were you thinking of someone other than the Green Party? I can't think of anyone else. Greens and the Socialists, heaven forbid.
The real question is what has congress done for any of American people or the country in the last 50 years. The middle class Americans have been continually raped, taxed and pillage to the point that the Middle Class is shrinking into the one below it.
If you want equality than stop focusing on the minorities, focus on the American People. Focusing on labels and groups is not equal. Start by changing the Income Tax into something that doesn't give advantages to the rich. Taxing the rich at any high marginal tax rate is negated by the 1000s of tricks and loopholes in the Internal Revenue Code.
Get rid of it. National Sales Tax for ex. Not a Flat Tax.
The US has become a no real product generating country, all those jobs left the country. Today, it is technology mining and using date to sell products, usually from foreign countries.
Google, Microsoft, Amazon and companies that provide technology to be used to get data. Data from anything that invades personal privacy to data on how people like their products, and what other products they can be sold.
Look at how the people running these companies have amassed their billions. Even after 2008, they people like Bill Gates doubled their billions.
People in the work force couldn't even double their salary with the taxes they would have to pay.
My point is that your class of groups named in the question is anything but equality for America. Naming groups takes away the concept of America and Americans.
The government run by continually corrupt congresses have created their dependent voting class, and they are only successful in taxing the middle class. The lower class doesn't pay taxes, the rich have all their tax loopholes, and in 1986 the Congress using the premise of reducing taxes created the Tax Reform Act. The taxes went down for a few years, but the usable tax deductions of the working class that were taken away, never came back.
In conclusion, focus on the country and the Americans, all of them. Without that there can be no equality. The term American should used be used without any dependent word or term attached to it.
The government creates inequality by demanding to group people.
del if u wish.
Wow! I wish I'd thought of that, but that's what happens when a person is trying to answer a question while they're at work. At least one job will open up when I retire this Friday. I've worked way past my retirement age just to be able to retire.
How do we get "equality" without equality of education? How do we demand that without equal political influence? And which of those comes first? Groupings smack of disunity. Consumption tax works.
Demas, we don't get equality when the govt is involved. The political parties become the govt, and until they can act and have similar goals there is no equality A gridlocked congress does nothing for the people. That needs 2b 1st. Edu snb political
This would be strange around my house. Me, male -white might follow an AMP my wife-female-Asian immigrant would probably stick with mostly Republican. Wonder what our boy would vote? What is a minority stance on Nat'l Parks and big Ag. subsidies?

Are Democrats and Republicans the same party? If you look at the facts, you can see many similarities between Republicans and Democrats. One is they both get funding from Goldman Sachs. Why would the same people fund both parties? Both parties agree with The Federal Reserve printing money, going...
