Mankind's biggest fault is:  Greed within the selfish desire to know an unknown that is actually apparent by our surroundings, but yet, it is often overlooked, and often causes strife!
I surmise the "unknowing" is the greatest fault, but yet, it is also the ultimate question.  One could easily say, the blind seeking answers with the aid of light is just as clueless as the adamant seekers with visible visions seeking enlightenment in the dark; it is all the same.
The only cognitive solution:  Don't think; feel...

Our biggest fault is built into our DNA makeup. It is called the "EGO."

We are at a critical shift of our planet, where our EGO will have a chance to leave our reality. This of course is up to us individually.

I think it is a lack of empathy. We need to care about and understand one another, and nature and animals, a lot more than most of us do. We need to take the time to judge people for the inside, not the surface appearance. Maybe there was a time in the distant past when we shared and got along and listened to and respected one another. We just need to return to basics.

Quite simply, mankind's biggest fault is the inability to see the other person's point of view. To be able to understand why the opposite person is doing what he is doing is the first step towards attaining peace or at least equilibrium in a given situation. However an inability and sometimes unwillingness (because seeing the other person's point of view may sometimes require one to relinquish one's own) to see the other side of the story is the first and most significant stumbling block to a peaceable solution

    Separation...

    We separate ourselves because of:

    1: Nationality
    2: Gender
    3: Skin Colour
    4: Political Preference
5: Religious Dogma (the worst stupidity of all...)
    6: Language
    7: Being Right

    Etc etc...

We all want and need the same basic things yet we deny others in the name of 'we are better' or 'we are right'...

Yes all other ills will be resolved when we as humans realize that no matter our differences we ALL are human...

That will not happen however until we stop inventing new ways to separate ourselves...

None of us are 'right' we all are...

    By way of an example...

My mother was (she has been dead for 7 years now) did not like 'black people'...

I when I was 19 (a long time ago...lol) had a best friend who was...black... and after about 2 years my mum commented that "she did not see Tony as black" and my response was simple...

" Mum, that's because you know Tony as a person..."

    I rest my case...

i think "peoplekind's" biggest fault is our general focus being always on the negative... looking for that which is always "wrong" instead of that which is right in our lives...  and "judgement"... judgement of others and ourselves... in essence... that which we focus on comes back to us...

also... to expand on that... another fault being always "fighting against" everything from religion and political issues... when we keep "fighting against", there will always be a fight.... imagine what could happen if peoplekind would just simply focus on what we actually would like to see instead of what's wrong all the time... to envision and dream into being what is good and just...

i could say more but i think that about says it for now...

Greed. It's the source of most problems we face. Wars are caused by people wanting what someone else has. So is crime. A contributor to poverty is that some people are never satisfied, never have enough, and their greed impacts on others, such as when large companies keep expanding, swallowing up smaller companies or putting them out of business.

Possibly the dependence on others to lead us, whether it be our friends, lovers, or governments; too many people are so afraid to think for themselves they rather agree with the masses so they don't feel alienated. This fear causes insecurities, dependencies, and even genocide.

Mankind's priorities. The fault has been mankind's priorities, as they have been manifested in egotistic feats of exploitation and power; to dominate and to destroy. Mankind was not like this before, in short. When the peasants flocked to the cities, that was the beggining of the end.

I would say that it is selfishness.  Almost all things that are tearing apart our civilization and families today are because of selfishness.  Take for example some destructive behaviors that ruin families:  Alcoholism, drug use, infidelity, pornography addiction, etcetera. Every one of those things stems from a selfish attitude from the person doing these things.  They think little, or nothing about the lives of their families that they are ruining.  In regards to civilization as a whole, families being torn apart will continue to degredate society, but there are other things as well: racism, theft, assault, murder, and more.  Again, all of these things are based in an overall feeling of selfishness, a feeling that one person's wants outway the lives and needs of those around them.

If people were able to become selfless and to serve those around them the world would effectively be rid of these evils.

I think mankind's biggest fault is self-interest.  It's amazing what people will willfully ignore if their self-interest compels them to ignore it.  I'm speaking about everything from overwhelming evidence that a position is incorrect, to major atrocities such as genocide.  Humans follow incentives for their own best interest, and it's this self-interest which allows us to be blind to the world around us.

Hmm, well, for me I think it's the religious fanatism everybody is involved in. The governments of the world, religious sects, and even individuals take advantage of the gullible people's mind. I am not advocating that religious activities should stop but for God's sake it's high time humans realise the evils caused by this double suffle kind of faith in God. Immagine a priest in a church involved in an unnatural affection as against the norms of nature, and the worst is that they still have laudable fans club that sing their praises.

Not including God in the equation of what we say and do,
is a well without water. The thing of it is,the durt that
is swept under the rug,is still there. You can;t solve a problem
by creating one.And you can't paint the house,by leaving
the paint behind, which means, you can't find the spot
    without the map,which means,you don't drive a car without
a moror, which neans, you must add all the necessary
parts in order to "make that move".

When you leave God out,you throw away the last match.

In one sense I was amazed that no one had already offered what I believe to be the 'key' answer.  (Now, isn't that what we all think?!?!?)

I think every answer already given is pretty much right on the mark.  But in order to bring a greater degree of peace and stability to the world, each and every one of them must by necessity go one more step.  Else the problem is identified, but not solved.

Agreeing that God MUST be introduced/re-introduced into our consciousness if we really are to come up with the 'cure all' answer, we have to look to God, Jesus and the Bible in order to identify and self model the mandate each provides.

I draw your attention to the fact the entirety of Biblical teachings surrounds and distinctly embraces the one and only thing which will 'clear the slate' and help us begin again to become all whom we might be - as well as ensure we've chosen correctly our Eternal destination is...  forgiveness.

After we've identified any and all of the principle faults, the next, thus worse fault of all is our lack of forgiveness in all these issues.  True, to the core, forgiveness.  That is mankind's biggest fault.  Forgiveness is the beginning stage of all cures.  Without it, not only will we remain in and among the other faults noted, but we'll open the door to further infection within by them and the results they bring forth.

Recognize though, that by forgiving someone - you don't necessarily have to have them over for tea and cookies.  Moral, civil and criminal faults must be dealt with under the communal standard of law and justice.

But YOUR OWN HEART must be cleansed - not in vengeance, but with release.  The only way to begin the route to wholly release is to forgive.  After all, the definition of 'forgive' is to 'not allow (whatever or whomever) to become influential in your future'.  The only way for that to happen is to release - not retain a heart of even legal and proper vengeance.

It is possible then, to even send someone to the Gallows and know there is forgiveness in your heart.  But that's another story.

    You might find, - www.areyousavedyet.com - or - www.howtodefinelove.com - of interest to you.

The lack of empathy is sour in our children's minds. They are raised with a "me me me, fine my inner perfection" deal and never cared about anyone else. They refuse to care for the need of change for the better. While adults who were raised to care, chose to enjoy their own reflection more than the broken mirror in front of the suffering's face. There is no respect toward anyone, no care for the elderly. It use to be that everyone would seek out the council of the old, and now we just get rid of them as soon as they can't walk by their lonesome. But there is not much people can say of the modern influence when the human basis of the world has always been evil. Mankind has never been good, we have always been evil, only now not even an inch of good has been given. We hate the thought of giving and nourish the thought of selfishness. People have been raped and beaten to almost death while civilians walked by and did nothing. What kind of mind set do you think you would need to see that and think to yourself "No, I can't get into that, what if he goes after me next?" well if you're thinking that there is a good chance if he does go after you, the next woman or man walking passed when you are being offhandedly abused is thinking the same selfish thoughts. Arrogance and Self love sours the minds of the modern world, that is our problem.

The mankind biggest fault is lack of possitive attitude. Now people used to think negative first in every sense, they never think positive. And while having negative attitude they used to get attack towards severe diseses like blood pressure.

For my thinking while thinking positive, you can feel relax and disease free.
