Nah, just covering the news...no matter how idiotic
I supposed the President is a phony copy, too, of the original Barack Obama.
Yeah. They don't make it, they just report it.
Alas, there's a pretty sad lineup of "news" on the same page when you click on this link.
Michelle Bachmann calling for her investigation
Boehner: "Obama doesn't give a darn"
They are going to keep up this birther and Muslin crap, planting more and doubt and feeding the fear, fear fear.
The most powerful motivator on the planet.
It's July? Plenty o' time and certainly plenty, plenty, plenty of $$$.
If they do their job we will soon find ourselves back at 2010 levels of ignorance frenzy by November.
People don't vote for.
They vote against.
Even if it's their own self-interests.
Jon Stewart nailed the Bachmann idiocy tonight
They nailed Bachmann's idiocy on "The Network" last night, too.
Which makes this year's Bachmann idiocy even eerier.
Not sure if you get it in Canada, but "The Network" on HBO is ab fab. Takes place in 2010/2011.
Last night's episode included (among other news happenings including Gabby Giffords' shooting) the star news anchor, played by Jeff Daniels, skewers Rush, Beckles and MICHELLE BACHMANN spreading ridiculous lies about Obama's $200 million a day trip to India.
The figure was not true, but that didn't keep the story from getting spread and spread by these lightning rods for ignorance and hate.
And it's happening again.
Shame on us for giving them airtime.
I wonder if a bit of in depth reporting on the truth about how the Obama administration used stimulus moneys to help company’s friendly to the cause, outsource jobs a legitimate issue.
Is this relevant to anything said here?
Nope, just get tired of the same ole smoke and mirrors. Mr Obama is after all the commander and chief of the United States, like it or not.
Hail to the Chief .
Florida Judge recently dismissed a birther case. Why, because Barack Obama has not been designated to be the Democratic nominee as of yet.
Is that the reason stated by the judge?
That s/he dismissed the case was because Obama is not the Democratic nominee yet?
That is absurd. Obama is not a party nominee. He is the INCUMBENT President of the United States of America.
Running for re-election to the highest office in the land.
Which he has been occupying since January 2009 after being vetted for, nominated and elected to in November 2008.
Is this really, really the best the Tea Party can do?
Nevermind. Apparently, it is.
First, the judge insisted, Obama’s candidacy cannot be challenged because he has not been nominated yet.
“The respective major political parties determine their nominee at a national convention [that hasn't occurred yet],” Lewis writes. “Thus, under Florida law, Mr. Obama is not presently the nominee of the Democratic Party for the office.
Second, the judge insisted, it’s not the Florida secretary of state’s job to determine a presidential candidate’s eligibility.
Quoting Florida law, Lewis writes, “The secretary of state has no affirmative duty, or even authority, ‘to inquire or pass judgment upon the eligibility of a candidate to hold office for the nomination for which he is running.”
Third, Lewis insisted, Obama should be considered a natural born citizen.
“The United States Supreme Court has concluded that ‘every person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, becomes at once a citizen of the United States,’” Lewis writes.

I would think the third reason makes the other two irrelevant.
CNN had nothing to do after giving all that free advertising to the Tea Party, so they are desperately trying to draw viewers with Birther nonsense. The network is incredibly old, tired and biased, but the weekends are getting some fresh blood.
CNN also ran the fake report last week by a person who worked with Romney and called it news....saying that Bain Capital wasn't outsourcer-in-chief.
But the the Daily Kos showed back in 2008 that Bain Capital is a front organzation for dummy companies in Panama. Dictators put money in the Panama Accounts and laundered it through Bain Capital. The L.A. Times followed up on it yesterday, noting paramilitary orgainization money from El Salvador.
Why CNN is going this direction, by not reporting the obvious, is not known. I would gues it's a ratings thing.
It is interesting however that about fifteen minutes after GW took office, the press knew every time he had ever changed his socks, but you can't be allowed into Barack Obama's life at all.
Now.........why exactly is that?
One of my sons was born in Hawaii and the birth certificates are a match. I had to get duplicates 12 years later and the same discrepancies were there. The premise that some forensic document specialist can't reason his way through a numerology sequence is not proof enough.
This issue just won't go away. I was surprised to see a reputable news source give it any credence. My advice to the birthers: Give it up already! Focus on the REAL things you don't like about the policies of the POTUS!
But, Habee, you don't seriously think that "birthers" are interested in anything else other than their own agenda, do you?
Yeah, look at all the crimes that have been ignored in his district.
What if this IS the real thing they don't like about the policies of the POTUS?
If you for whatever reason cannot move forward, retreat into something familiar.
No matter how untenable it was before.
The U.S. corporate media is a joke. CNN has become just like the rest; prioritizing their reporting based on what will sell advertising instead of what is truly news.

In 2012, who do you think would be the better Democratic presidential nominee, Obama or Clinton?
by Scott Belford 8 years ago
My thought is No, they should go ahead and filibuster Judge Gorsuch now and not wait. The fear of filibustering now is that the Rs might use the "Nuclear Option" - using a simple majority to change Senate rules to eliminate filibustering for Supreme Court nominees; just as Democrats...

Do you think Hilary Clinton will become the Democratic nomination in 2016?

Today is the first day of confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice nominee, Brett Kavanaugh - and it's already a wild and crazy ride. At this early point in the hearing, reports are that 17 people have been removed for disrupting the proceedings, several Democrats forcibly interrupted...
