Is the US call on Jerusalem justified??

"Recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel", the move obviously has the Islamic world up in arms but his own allies aren't impressed either. What is this so called "new approach" to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Isn't this gonna create further trouble in the middle east? What about the backlash?

Because everything done, thus far,has been so effective?

"Everything hasn't been effective" cuz it was never meant to be. The conflict is supposed to last like forever, it serves several vested interests.

Well! Phases I guess. The intellectual facade does take a toll on us smile

I would suggest dropping the facade. All facades take a toll and are usually only fooling the person attempting to create it.

Trump has belled the cat. Remember that for 7 decades Jerusalem was NOT recognised as Capital, but peace process NEVER moved forward. Just recognising Jerusalem has no meaning. The Arabs are needlessly incensed

I've heard about this 'new approach' and how this decision is supposedly going to somehow eventually force both sides to participate in the peace process in a more serious way. However, even if this sounds like a good policy to the bigwigs - Trump is not the president who should have made this decision.

With all of his anti-Muslim rhetoric (and lets face it, LOTS of other idiotic rhetoric from him); his desperation to cater to Christian extremists who voted him into office has only made things worse. It is amazing how he really sees himself as the savior his supporters insist that he is. His purpose is to cause conflict; and he does it at every opportunity in the biggest, messiest ways that are sometimes barely legal.

And the WORST part of this decision is... as far as his militant supporters are concerned, Trump has only confirmed for them in their minds that he is indeed God's current agent of Salvation - apparently, just beneath Jesus Christ.

Islam, Judaism and Christianity are all connected - but, each one insists that it is 'the right' religion. Yeah, its long past time for Christians to get things into perspective (all religions, actually - not just Christianity). Read my first spotlight article, folks. Its a very good place to start.

I have watched the Jewish State plied back and forth between U.S. presidents of either ideology for almost 50 years . Yet , the new left in America and Trump opposition , like in all other political issues , wants to make out like Trump is an evil mastermind of insane , otherworldly proportions .
While in effect , he is simply playing the" same ole same ole" politics.

Keep the middle east  unstable.  I say  "Watch the bouncing ball"

That's true but Trump is becoming the Kamikaze warrior who shoot himself in the foot first.

To "Shoot themselves in the foot"   Is actually the new silent mission of the political left in America along with it's puppy dog media .  I've never in my life seen such an uninformed political left .

            1) I've never in my life seen such dense, unisightful people as Trump supporters... You obviously need a reminder that MANY of the people who voted for your boy ARE ON THE LEFT. Someone like you should go find every one of those people and give them all a kiss on the lips for helping your man into that office. Cuz SURPRISE! Conservatives don't have enough people in the GOP to vote themselves in. You had LOTS of extra help from people who would not normally have voted for someone like that - and not necessarily for the same reasons you did. Restoring Isreal's capital wasn't one of their main issues of concern - until now.

            2) YOU are falling into the trap that Trump just set up... more 'left' vs 'right'... more & more fighting. You can't see him as a hate-instigating bully? Amazing! Just HOW MUCH do you hate the left? I blame Fox & Trump for obviously doing such an incredible job for the deep state with their main goal: division.

            3) There are very good reasons why past presidents didn't follow through with this popular campaign promise for the extremist Christian-conservative core. The difference between past presidents and this one is that Trump ALREADY resembles HATE & disrespect to Muslims because of the way he has spoken about them so despicably in the past. As I said above, HE was NOT the right potus to make this particular change. Any idiot worth the salt they are made of can see that.

More like; many people on the left stuffed the ballot boxes and still lost.

Yup, that is exactly what the point is... Keep it unsteady by twisting the knife; and if we can get people fighting over it again (you know, with actual weapons instead of just words) - YIPPEE! And of course, we will blame Muslims for obediently marching to our war drums.

Listen , If a history of doing nothing but supporting the same discourse isn't changing anything at all and never has ;  reboot .

Besides , the first biblical writing  even say the Israeli's own it .

Middle east politics 20 or so to  1 against Israel , time to again stand for Israel instead of Obama's supporting of just Islam .

One has to be too naive to not see through such a provocative move, especially when he shares such love for the Moslem world. Whether it's catering to domestic audience or something else, this surely would be an epic fail.

I find it very typical that Trump supporters would try to turn Trump's latest SMOKESCREEN into a "leftist" fiasco. The left didn't do this, Trump did. Obama didn't do this, Trump did. Now put that into your pipe and smoke it, Trump chestbeaters.  BTW, war has been going on in the Middle East since Cain. Call me cruel and heartless, but I'm ready for them to annihilate each other and give the rest of the world some peace. Then we can move on to worrying about  North Korea.

It's a "smokescreen" because Trump thinks it will take some pressure off the Mueller's investigation into the White House.

Miz the "smokescreen" bit is spoton and this has nothing to do with the left or right. Its pure diversion tactics through controversy, but I think the ramifications have been plainly ignored.

After only three days the protests and tantrums fizzled out by the radical Islamists.

Presidents, Clinton, Bush and Obama all rightly proclaimed Jerusalem as Israel's capital, but their actions otherwise appeared to be anti-Semitic, no actions.  Say one thing to gain voters, and than do nothing to keep their promises.  Two faced!  False promises...

Six months ago Democrats voted one way, than when Trump takes actions they voted for...they oppose his authority.  Two faced political obstructionists!

Obama implies Trump is Hitler. Then, Trump is true to his word and declares Jerusalem as Israel's capital too, and will actually move the US Embassy to Jerusalem.
Like Hitler would have done that?  Shesh

Fizzled out or went dormant, one cannot be too sure. There are multiple voices and all aren't radical. Tillerson's statement for instance, may have come as pacifier, when he said.. "embassy not shifting untill next two years". Then again he'll be done away soon, so it completely depends.

There are 22  existing middle eastern countries  including a couple of close north African countries  , And the left  always angers when an American leader somehow supports the only country there that is  the enemy of most of that 22 ?

A lot of people need and sorely lack interpretive balance when it comes to judging Israel's leadership , it's immediate strategic challenges and politics . Imagine  New York state sending daily ,  weekly rocket attacks into new Jersey ?

Yet the left thinks we somehow "baby" Israel ?
