Pres. Trump Has Heart Disease!

CNN's go-to contributing doctor, (Dr. Sanji Gupta(sp?)), says Pres, Trump has arterial plaque levels that correlate to Heart Disease.

CNN runs the screen banner: Pres. Trump Has Heart Disease

Does that mean we should ignore what the President's doctor said, and listen to a cable news show contributor as the more knowledgeable source?

    .
But wait, there is more. Beyond the screen banner that the President has heart disease are the facts Dr. Sanji noted in the rest of his interview:

The majority of American men over forty also have arterial plaque - heart disease.

The President's level of arterial plaque is perfectly normal among American men of his age bracket - but he has heart disease.

The President's level of arterial plaque is most likely no different than any other U.S. President - but he has heart disease.

The President's level of arterial plaque is treatable and controllable - but he has heart disease.

Geesh, and Randy thinks Fox News is bad... after the orgasm CNN had reporting on "the statement," I just might have to start listening to Fox. (except for Coulter and Hannity of course), geesh!

I certainly remember that among those holding the office in my lifetime, LBJ wasn't the perfect vision of health and Dwight Eisenhower suffered a heart attack during his term. This is something not to be unexpected of any man taking the job.

Hi Cred. I agree, which makes me wonder why CNN seems to be making a big deal out of it.

Because they're a 24-hour news channel.  That is what they do.  Remember the big to-do over Obama saluting with a coffee cup in his hand?  Fox was all over it, just like CNN is all over Trump's heart disease.

Okay fine! I will just go sit in a corner and try to think Aime's mental picture out of my head. Reciting the alphabet sideways used to work.

So was Gupta wrong, GA? Or are you simply objecting to it being broadcast? I was watching the same broadcast and didn't notice anyone having an orgasm. Exaggerating a bit, are you. lol

Nope Randy, I am not saying Dr. Gupta was wrong - in what he said in his interview. I will add an important clarifying statement he also made in the rest of his interview; Arterial plaque can lead to heart disease. Arterial plaque itself is not heart disease.

But according to CNN's on-screen banner - an article title if you can accept that comparison - said "President Trump Has heart Disease."

My "objection," if you want to call it that, is that they ignored the qualifying "can lead to," and the additional facts that in this instance it is completely a normal condition, and ran with a proclamation that Pres. Trump has heart disease.

And the "orgasm" comment was about a previous day's coverage of "the statement." You may have been watching that too, and drawn a different impression - but that was mine as I watched it.

[EDIT] Watching CNN as I reply. Dr. Sanji Gupta is back on after White House push-back concerning his initial interview. He now says Pres. Trump's level of plaque, (130), is heart disease - although perfectly atypical for American men in his age bracket. Hmm... from "lead to" to "is" in minutes.

Hold on to that thought Randy. Like a song stuck in your head.

Don't worry, it will go away after a smoke and a beer.

CNN says some silly stuff. Fox News says some silly stuff. Most news outlets say some silly stuff to get viewers. The sky is blue and the grass is green.

Very true.  One very important question is how much of that silly stuff is true or false.  That Trump has heart disease is true.  How we react to it is the silly part.  I still wish I'd seen that orgasm.  That must've been quite the spectacle.

CNN is terrible! I only trust infowars for unbiased news!

        Is that better?

No, that didn't help. The Fox News watchers already get their share of pokes, I wanted to poke at the Liberals. Can't do that with InfoWars. Maybe I will see if Salon has a sharp stick handy.

GA, I believe Gupta wants Trump to realize that all it takes is for a piece of plaque to break off and he will be in cardiac trouble.

Perhaps he wants him to substitute 5 big macs, 2 large fries, a fried pie and a gallon of Diet Coke to a chef salad and a cup of OJ (not Simpson) ... if he wants to continue to be president.  Right now, he is loaded like a 45 and ready to go BANG!

Hi Diane, about that loaded and ready to go.... In almost all aspects of his interview Dr. Gupta emphasized Pres. Trump was right in the middle - statistically,  of American men of his age group. There was no indication that his condition was so severe as to be deemed "Loaded and ready."

I am not dismissing the importance of the issue, I am only criticizing CNN  pushing this as if he was in a state that could expect a heart attack with the next cheeseburger. They couldn't find anything abnormally wrong with him in his doctors report - so they are pushing the heart disease angle as if he will keel over tomorrow.

ps. No more "enema" comparisons! I just did get that and a Trump orgasm out of my head.

You know Big Macs are like Lay's Potato Chips to him.  He can't just eat one.  Since he doesn't eat much fiber, he probably does need an enema from time to time.  Oops! I said, "ENEMA!"
