What would happen if all the politicians & all the political lobbyist in the U. S. were executed ?
How much better might the U.S. be if it were run by people of just average intelligence but with high moral character ? Perhaps there would be less involvement in wars without purpose , unemployment might be much lower, Government spending might not exceed income received from all Government sources and the amount of the deficit might be reduced . Well it's something to think about ; What would happen if all the politicians & all the political lobbyist in the U.S. were executed and replaced by people of average intelligence with high moral character ?
It's been done. It's called the French Revolution, and it didn't go so well....
We are fortunate that we do not live in France at the time when the aristocracy controlled the lives of the average person .
That would be a good (and dreadful) experiment to see if power truly does corrupt.
And who's to say that moral character translates into the ability to stand up to all those people who cry, "No, you can't cut that budget! Children need free breakfasts!" or "... but those single mothers abused or claiming abuse need free services and benefits and food stamps."
There are many, many moral people who simply do not understand the idea that government spending should be limited. To find those people, all you have to do is have a conversation with many democrats.
