Considering all the problems our nation faced and is still facing since the presidential election 2
years ago .Imagine John Mccain and Sarah Palin won the election .Would the nation be in a better position to overcome the situations or worse ?
That one is a hard question to answer... We more than likely would have less debt in our nation, that our children and grand children will be left to pay, but other than that who knows.
The Democrats seem to be wanting more Gov't telling people what they should do, while the Republicans seem to be about less Gov't, wanting people to figure it out themselves. At least that is my take on it.
Well, If John McCain and Sarah Palin won, they would have stripped federal programs to bare bones and saved a lot of money, maybe.
Who would pay for their cuts, the seniors with medicare, medicaid and social security. The lower income people would be taxed to death and big business would get more tax breaks.
Education would be cut back, health care as well.
Under the Bush administration, our government grew larger than it's ever been. The Defense Department grew by 1000 employees alone. Who's to say what Palin and McCain would have done.
Under Obama, taxes have remained low, programs have been passed that are good for American's, but they've come at a cost, especially since he inherited the Cost of Bush's Prescription Drug Program and 2 wars, which weren't paid for under the previous administration.
So, is that better or worse? I guess it depends on where you stand financially.

Ok, just for fun - because you know we all have our little gripes that in the grand cosmic scheme of things don't really matter. What little annoying thing is troubling you today that no one really cares about - except you. (it's supposed to be a fun thread, not negative by the way -...
