    Humbly, sharing a perspective . . .

I use a method called ‘Zero Pointing’ when it is time to start anew. I have done so several times in my life. It is a process of taking stock and noting what is . . . is. At that point the past is accounted for. It is irretrievable. It is no longer reality. All sins are forgiven and all credit is assigned. The past cannot be changed and usefulness is only for reflection leading toward wisdom. Any decision, any choice, any change is directly related to the ‘Zero Point’. All measurements are directly related to the ‘Zero Point’. It is a clean slate.

In the early hours of January 6th, 2024, Donald J. Trump publicly accepted that the governed of this great nation, the United States of America, through both democracy and as a republic have given their consent for him to govern them.

    That is a ‘Zero point’!

Whatever measurable change affecting the nation with all its lives began with that ‘Zero Point’ be that minuscule or beyond comprehension. In other words, the ‘modern’ phenomena of the Trump Effect began and ‘Now’ is occurring. He is accountable.

    What has occurred since January 6th? A few examples . . .

** Trump leaped forward into the future naming his transition team and Chief of Staff. He accepted the olive branch extended to him for peace through cooperation with the present administration. A new government is being formed. Plans are becoming resolute not only for this nation, but the world.

** The stock market surged some 1500 points.

** The Bitcoin market hit an all-time high.

** The world’s richest billionaires got richer by more than 64 billion dollars.

    ** Hamas trembled while hoping

** California Governor Newsom called a special session to Trump Proof the state.

    ** And, much, much more . . .

Of course, amongst the populace elated, shocked, or somewhere between emotions and feelings are stirred. When it comes down to the nitty-gritty of it not only did ‘Life’ change, but as well so did ‘Lives’ throughout the world. It was a momentous occasion affecting the present that will continue moving forward in time having an effect lasting into eternity. We are privileged to have witnessed that ‘Zero Point’ and now ‘Live’ a new experience.

Humbly, I wish the best of Luck to each and every one of us as prayers are said for our good fortune. Now let’s have fun, fun, fun as best as can be. smile

    As always . . .

    Thoughts, criticisms, accolades, and/or commentary?

Positioning thoughts from a "Zero Point" perspective. Damn, that makes so much sense, is so rational and beneficial. It gets my ^5 for the morning.

Many of us have harped on that point - 'the past is the past, ya gotta let it go', but your "Zero Point" naming is perfect.

I'm stealing it but I will give you credit when I do. ;-)

Thanks for the contribution, GA! Reading your post the sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, came to mind not for its humor, but because of the name. In a sense, that 'Zero Point' we all witnessed was the beginning point for a new dimensional universe we have not traveled . . . yet. Not only was the door of  opportunity opened, but as a nation we walked through it. Cosmic could be said.

This sums it up for me quite adequately:

Thanks for chiming in, AB! I smiled when I went to your recommendation from the link. Listening to John Lennon's composition - Imagine, brought glee while as in the baseball movie 'For Love of the Game' with Kevin Costner his character's words while pitching a perfect game stood out within my mind - "Clear the mechanism".

Great thread... And boy it's a welcome subject.

I completely agree with your approach. Starting fresh with "Point Zero’" resonates with me as well. I’ve also gone through periods in my life where I had to take stock of everything and acknowledge that what is simply is. At that moment, the past becomes a closed chapter—its lessons learned, its emotional weight released. Like you said, it’s a place where all is forgiven and accounted for. Moving forward from that clean slate helps me make choices with clarity, knowing that each decision is rooted in the present, not bound by the past. It’s a powerful practice for true growth and resilience.

I prefer focusing on the present, especially when it comes to discussing politics. Going in circles over the same points just leaves me feeling dizzy.

I appreciate your comment, Sharlee! Yup, time to move forward and it is now about three days into the clean slate. Trump isn't waiting and neither should we both as a nation with its 50 states and as individuals living this new experience. It's exciting and as each new day arrives a new mystery to solve.

I’m really on board with the idea of zero point. It resonates with me because I try to live in the moment. I’ve come to realize that yesterday or the future don’t hold much weight in my life anymore. Every day, I wake up and count all the things I’m grateful for today. When Trump won, I was pleased from day one, excited to see what he would bring with his appointments and any details he shared about his agenda. As time passed, I followed the current events surrounding his administration. I’ve supported most of his choices, except for Matt Gaetz, and I’ve never been too impressed with Thune. But that’s all in the past now. I see some people here are stuck on dwelling over everything from the past—about Trump and those he's chosen to join him. They’re caught up in what happened before and worrying about what might happen in the future. Personally, I can’t get behind that kind of mindset. Living in a constant state of negativity, worrying about something that may never come, would be foreign to me. There’s always time to get upset when something troubling happens, which Is clear by my interaction here on HP's chat.

However, I don’t see the point in living in that space. I think Zero Point could be the cure for TDS. So far, I haven’t seen a true cure, but Zero Point might offer some hope for one.

I had hoped more would join in on this thread. It is a positive subject, that could be shared.

          Thanks for sharing, Sharlee!

I pick and choose my battles these days being in a place of retirement. Most here, today, in this forum compared to myself are encyclopedias of knowledge while their lifetime of experience is an 'unknown factor'. I know my place in the here and now.

I am an outsider, but outsiders can also be worried and anxious about these happenings in the world's most advanced country. So, I am looking forward to that Zero point and its ascending and descending curves.

Thanks for commenting! The way I see it you are an outsider as far as citizenship or living here in the U.S., yet you are an active member of the larger world we all are citizens of just as you have always been an active member of HP. I am sure you will be watching what occurs there in your country India with this new advent of Trump as President of the U.S. It most certainly will affect India and its leadership will wisely be making decisions as a result of it.

    A little rambling . . .

It has been nine (9) days since the 'Zero Point' of this 2024 election cycle beginning when Trump accepted the job 'Tasks, duties, and responsibilities' as the new President of the United States of America. Most certainly the weather changed and the forecasts are unpredictable at this time.

A suspected strategy of 'shock and awe' seems to have been implemented. Bold nominations of very key and perhaps controversial positions have been made. Each and every one thus far has grasped the attention of Americans of all persuasions. Some expressed glee, some dismay, others simply are dumbfounded not knowing what to think while many muttered "Oh Well, here we go again" while grasping a cup of coffee, cup of tea, or perhaps popped open a beer. Yeah, popcorn has been popped more than usual of late too. Observance shares most certainly a message was sent not to the electorate, but to the whole populace not only nationally, yet worldwide. The big bang has occurred and wave theory a propagating dynamic disturbance within the annals of history, 'immemorial time aimed at infinity', is being observed.

Plans are being changed as well as new ideas are being kicked about in board meetings with traditionalist linear thinkers Venn diagrams and modern mind maps for abstract thinkers. No matter, life 'will' change when consortiums arrive with resolute solutions or resolutions to meet the new challenges before us each individually or organizationally.

Yet, there is 66 days until the historic day 'one' arrives. It has promise of being mystical, magical, and mysterious.
