Should governments respect the Geneva Conventions in the War on Terror?
the strange thing about the geneva convention is that it deals with established governments... in other words... treatment of prisoners that represent their countries. unfortunately, terrorists do not. and sadly, to me, they are more like hoodlums.... and sociopaths... so i really don't think that they deserve the merits of the geneva convention. more like they should be treated like criminals... and be held accountable to the law, which, many have been denied. that is what should be their treatment. in this way, the justice system and the law would be dictating their treatment.... and torture would be out of the question... just a thought...
