Why do hunters knock "tree huggers"?
Most hunters I know are Republican types that make fun of people wanting to save the enviroment. It seems odd that the people that live off the land knock people for saving the land they live off of. Without the protection the hunter would not have a place to hunt nor anything to hunt.
That's an example of a generalized and prejudiced statement. Step into reality. I'm a hunter, and a democrat. . . .and I'm from Texas, land of the ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!
How can hunters hunt if there is not wildlife, or no forrest?
Mr. Shaw...This is my reality. Almost evey hunter I know is a Republican who can't stand people saving the enviroment and almost evey Republican I know that doesn't hunt can't stand people that save the enviroment. I didn't say all hunters are Republicans just the ones in know. That's not being prejudiced it's just the way the numbers work out in my reality.
Perhaps, the 'misunderstanding' lies within your own understanding........
Being neither, a hunter or a tree hugger.......I see a balance.
How could a hunter, fisherman, or a farmer, living off of the land not respect the land?
Could a mechanic not respect his engine? Could a doctor not respect the organs? Could a teacher not respect students?..........you get my drift......
What is the "repulican type"? One who values personal accountability over regulation?
Does the outdoorsman, require the government, to tell him ( or her) that without clean water, fish will perish?
Does the outdoorsman need the government to tell him ( or her) that without woods, there are no deer, elk, large cat etc....
While there are those, who do say, the 'spotted owl' takes second seat to the needs of man..........they have a sense of balance.
Are they of the "republican type" , or are they realists?
Every issue is not reduced to political affiliation.
Maybe the hunters you know don't mind walking through clear cut forests and shooting around oil wells.

What are your thoughts on Dr. Walter Palmer and other "hunters" who kill endangered animals? If you aren't familiar with the story, this dentist paid $50,000 to "hunt" and kill an endangered lion. Two of his companions lured the animal out of a protected area where this...

I'm an Englishman living in the US and when I first moved to the US everyone respected the president, and while people didn't agree with the president at times, there was no witch hunt to destroy his reputation. Now, with the press and with many political groups all we do is look at the negative...

Would the same outrage still exist? Or did Obama's presidency ignite the flame?I tend to think that Obama being elected certainly was fuel on the fire -- that is to say, the Tea Party would not be as big or popular if John McCain was president. Much more people would be too complacent simply...

When Senator MCCain announced that he was going to have a female running mate, I was elated. What an election we were going to have. A female and a black male running for the highest office in the land. And now a republican has chosen a female as his running mate. When Sarah Palin...
