   The only reasonable view in America today is to become a Libertarian.  Unfortunately, Libertarians don't have a chance in hell of getting into office because they would disrupt the Republico-Democrato Machine.
   
   Libertarian values: You can do what you want, marry whomever you want, smoke what you want, as long as you aren't hurting anyone.  You can do what you want as long as you don't expect me to pay for your crap.  Libertarians want to pay for reasonable govt institutions like Military (defense), roads, judges, police, etc.  Then, tell those other govt. MFs to get out of our lives.

   Well, our deficit and our annual debt is unimaginable. We have a President who wants to attempt fix that by freezing non-essential domestic spending (12% of the annual expenditures) at the current levels (highest of times) and a left side of the aisle which has just come off of a three year spending spree that kept them so busy that they didn't even have time to do a budget though it was a requirement of their job.  Social Security has beeen mismanaged since LBJ put the funds in the the general fund during his administration. If those funds had been allowed to accumulate...this area might not be an issue today.  If those funds had been invested in the most moderate circumstance, we would all be better off than we are today...with a pot full of IOU's.   Our national debt is starting to equal the level or our Gross National Product...in  other words, our debt = our assets....we are out of money at best and bankrupt at worst.  Our government wants to run healthcare yet knows nothing about it.  There are those who think that we can create environmental stability by imposing Cap and Trade legislation on the publice.....all in all...we have lost our frigging minds.  The best political view today is sanity and common sense...you don't spend more than you make and you don't waste what you have.  WB
