I have no idea whether they will spread here or not, but if they do, they probably won't last long.  Folks here would rather watch Wrestling, Two and a Half men, X-Files, or eat fast-food.  For the most part they won't commit to anything that keeps them away from their comforts for too long.  Any uprising will last only until the folks grow tired of not seeing their TV at home, or until they miss talking to their friends on their I-Pod or on Twitter.

Why would they spread to countries where the population are in many ways free to think for themselves to travel the world and believe whatever they wish, where woman have equality in society as well as law where multiculturalism is at least being tried. Why spread to where you have opportunity where your leaders are accountable for their actions by those who elected them where if you fail it is generally your fault and where conflict of interest is decided by a blind non biased law system,  Why would people with ample food resources, free and available non political (sometimes)?, education and open news and media want to overhaul their hard fought for rights. Lets stick with Governments that the people deserve not those that are imposed upon them.

People in North Africa get support from other powerful countries to oppose their leaders. But who is going to support if people in UK or US start protesting their leaders and they hit back?

If the people in the western world turned on their governments I believe it could trigger a global revolution.

spread as in fighting in the US? I doubt that highly. someone may try some stupid terrorist things but no actual fighting here.
