Are you afraid of rethinking the American Dreams?

Are you one of the people , who had enough of the direction, this country is heading the politics, the media, the Goverments, in all the whole system,
as citizens, What are we really, really doing about it?

I think people just need to stop focusing on the negative in their lives, living in fear, anger, rage, discriminating, against others start looking at how they can make positive steps to make a better world through positive actions, beliefs, and example. Fear is an illusion, our minds create a lot of misconceptions, we have limited perceptions of reality. We only know what media allows us to know, we go by hear say, we argue on opinions and thoughts never doing the research or backing up arguments with valid sources. Most of the arguments I see on hubpages are mostly based on opinions and thoughts not a facts or legite sources other than media and newspapers even if they decide to show that. Its the sake of arguing just to argue.  There are no positive soultuions coming up, just people attacking each other for thier views.  Trying to use their personal power but going about it the wrong way, instead of using it in better way that produces positive results.  America can go in a positive direction, its just a matter of people choosing the right path to go about it.

We all have dreams and many can be realised.

Yes, and No.  Yes I'm not happy with the way things are heading; but No, I think we live in the Greatest Country in the world!  Our Leaders may keep trying to take us down the wrong road, but before long "We the People" will exercise our God Given Rights and say "Enough, is Enough!"  This is still the one place in the world where an individual person can speak out and make a difference.  That's the joy and pleasure of being Free!

We can help our local economy by spending our money at the local stores and banking with a local bank or credit union.  You can send your money to China by shopping at Wal Mart or go to the local hardware and grocery and keep more of your money in the local economy.  This will create jobs locally something Washington seems unable to do.

When I hear reputable news sources, if there are such a thing anymore, state that the new American dream is rented housing I begin to worry.

I agree in total with Ken Barton's position.  Our framework, our ideaology, our guiding docutments are all there.  What has brought us where we are today are politicians who have no conscience or care for nothing other than themselves.  At some point, the American people will find their "oneness" and the direction we are currently going will be changed...the sooner the better. the problems that we now face are far deeper than political, they are spiritual and psycological,... the social issues ruin us.
