If I were to think of ultimate and supreme I would say, "God".
If I were to think of the greatest power humans have, I would say "love".
Interesting question.
What's your answer?
In physics, power is the rate at which work is performed or energy is converted.! But I think you mean something different!
great question. many people believe they have power when in truth they do not. they believe money gives them power, or strength or even knowledge. when i think of power i think of GOD. the attributes of GOD are wisdom, love, strength, the ability to create something from nothing, knowledge, mercy, grace, and so much more. GOD is in control. even when man thinks he is in control of things he is not because there is so much he can not control. true power belongs to GOD alone. the power of man is just an illusion. the closest man can come to having any power is in love...true love...unconditional love.
Power is the rate at which work is performed, or the rate at which energy is converted into motion. Average power is work divided by time. :p
power is not caring about anything and having everyone caring about you.
power is the rate at which electrical energy is converted to another form, such as motion or heat......
another power is god gifted, strength, wisdom
Power is knowledge. And if there is knowledge there is change. Therefore power is change.
Logically thinking, could this one word be "Watt"?
Relating to physics it's the rate of work done or energy converted.
Socially it could mean the ability to do something or control something/someone?
Power is the ability to get others to do things for you. For instance: people go to work to earn money. Money is issued by the banks (I'm talking about national currencies: on which they charge us 10% interest). Banks also have the power to create money through the issuance of loans. Over 90% of all money in circulation within an economy was created this way. The banks: by controlling credit, control how much money is in circulation at any given time. This also gives the banks the power to control the unit worth of any currency.
At election time we - mistakenly - believe that we are voting a government 'into power'. This is an illusion. The banks have all the power. There is really no such thing as 'free markets' or 'democracy'. Politicians are just frontmen for the banks: even those that call themselves communists or socialists; look at China.
Something else that people need to understand is this: 'to have power is to exercise power'. If you do not exercise power; then you do not possess it.
Trevor Davis: I know that this doesn't really answer your question; but I still really wanted to say it anyway. Thanks for giving me the opportunity.
By the way: if your one word answer happens to be 'God' I will be extremely disappointed.
My one word for power is... Manipulation. Thats all power is in a fashion. Money, knowledge, status; all topics of the sort are used to gain power and manipulate. But manipulation is such a negative word when first thought of. It can also be seen as the words guided, taught, or trained. So in a sense any sort of power over another being or object or idea is manipulation.

1. I agree with suggestion - this is a hub not a question.2. I think most of the energy we "use" could be conserved- so rather then USE green energy, we need to design or plan our energy consumption to eliminate as much energy used as is physically possible. Then after we have used...

What is the purpose of including the book Esther in the Bible?I understand the story behind Esther of keeping the Jewish people safe from another genocide, but why is it included in the Bible when there is no reference to prayer or God's will.
