Why is Obama back tracking on Two state solution?
In 2010 UN assembly Obama stated that he would back a 2 state solution and couldn't wait to see Palestinians statehood recognised by the UN. Yet only this week he stated that a 2 state solution bid by the Palestinians was not the way forward to achieve piece - now I wonder why people blame the US for double standards!

He has not changed his position on a negotiated settlement between Israel and the Palestinians.
There is no double standard. The president has never actually supported peace between Palestine and Israel. He tells half-truths in his speeches on his "hopes" for the future and personal support of peace. He vetoed the two-state solution.
