Why does the War onTerror always end up being a War on The freedoms and right of Americans?

That is what it was designed to be to begin with. The Patriot Act for example, was made more for surveillance of the American public than for defending American Freedoms ... that's just the myth portrayed by the corporate-owned media. The power of their lies is fading away exponentially though, by the day.

Sadly, I have no answer..........no meaningful imput.

I can only state, that I , too, have asked this very question, numerous times.

At this writing, only 2 of us even bothered to   respond..........though your question has been on the board for hours.

    What does that say?

Control, pure and simple. Once, more enlightened people begin to question the lies of mainstream news organizations, open their eyes and look around, the true reasons for all these draconian laws will become apparent. Any dissent, vocal opposition or sedition will be punitively crushed.

The worrying thing is how other so called western liberal democracies gleefully follow the US example and introduce their own versions of say the Patriot Act.

Onegoodwoman also states a worrying trend...the lack of any interest in your question. But if you had asked a question about relationships or if God loves homosexuals you would be inundated with responses. Does this reflect the lack of sensible political debate in the US? Here in New Zealand there is NO political debate whatsoever!

Bill Hicks nailed it years ago: “Go back to bed, America, your government has figured out how it all transpired. Go back to bed America, your government is in control. Here, here's American Gladiators. Watch this, shut up, go back to bed America, here is American Gladiators, here is 56 channels of it! Watch these pituitary retards bang their f@#$ing skulls together and congratulate you on living in the land of freedom. Here you go America - you are free to do what we'll tell you! You are free to do what we tell you!”

It is about control and power.  We are losing control of our freedoms and the power is flowing to those who own the media and the politicians.

What movie are you talking about? What if there is an alternate ending?
