Will American society become even more totalitarian with the progression of the 21st century?  The evidence is here.  There is mandated covid 19 vaccinations.  There is more governmental controls in society.   There are more security measures a/k/a protections.  Has the government overreached its bounds regarding American liberties?  Do you believe that the government is only protecting the American people?  Conversely, do you believe that the government is becoming increasingly dictatorial, ebbing away at American freedoms?

      I coincide with this clip.

Yes totalitarian Governments and wealthy lobbyist have reached a new high levels since second world war or the great depression.
This is the 80th year pattern, last one was the world war before that civil and so on. About a couple years more of this horrified era of extreme human abuse of liberty and human rights. What is coming next is roaring 20s or my favorite the hippy hair era again. Empires alway fall after an average of 80 years like our life spans. Be optimistic and hang on for many more good times years within your lifetime and in your lifestyle.

Large Corporations have grown so powerful the government no longer has the ability to put them in check.

Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, etc. they have more input into the direction our government goes, what the people think, etc. than our politicians.

China recognized what had occurred in America, how the Social Media giants were able to silence a sitting President, how they were able to control the narrative and silence those that would support Trump.

That is why you are seeing the crackdown in China today, across the board, on all corporations, on all Social Media companies especially.  The CCP will not allow the corporations to gain control of the narrative or become more powerful than the Party.

We will see which of the systems prove more effective and successful in the coming years... a government controlled by corporate greed, power and profits or a one party government that controls the power and greed of its corporations.

In both cases however, the individual will lose liberty and freedom as technology advances and the ability to monitor and control increases.

Do you feel totally hopelessness by totalitarian for American and mankind?
        Or
Do you feel the collectives consciousness of the mass 80% who will change for the more positive power of the people? As it always has throughout human kind.

There is a difference between feeling hopeful about humanity's future...

And believing that America is declining and has very hard economic times ahead in the not too distant future.

Yes, that is my thought as well 2.5 to 5 years.

I see signs that the world is making the transition, almost all countries are selling off their holdings in American Bonds, they are doing this slowly, over the course of time, to not cause the world's economic system to collapse outright... but its full speed ahead, there is no reversing course, the world is working itself off the Dollar as the Reserve Currency.

The Japanese disposed of over $12 billion in US debt just recently as did the Chinese Treasury by almost $6 billion.  A few billion this month, a few billion the next, half a trillion here, half a trillion there...

I suspect the rest of the world will get out of it in pretty good shape, as they transition off the Dollar at the expense of America's economic wellbeing, ultimately it will be regular Americans that are hardest hit.

I think here in America we have Ebb and Flow in regard to ideologies. IMO we are a people that like to see an influx of new ideas, but when we see the ideas are not as beneficial as we might have thought them to be and might impede on our freedoms our democracy we are quick to move on...

I can see where you are coming from, it does seem like as of late the Government is attempting to send out tentacles...  But, keep in mind we are going through a once in our lifetime crisis. It pretty much threw everybody for a loop. And yes we have a new administration that many of us don't care for due to it appearing to be very left-leaning. Which makes it feel as if we are under a Government that dictates. But, again, think we are a nation in crisis, and mistakes can and will be made due to a lack of knowing just how to manage such a mess. Also, keep in mind so far we have heard lots of talks, ideologies that many of us don't like ---  the keyword talk... Nothing of the left's agenda has been accomplished.  Congress has passed no new laws. No new edicts to deal with, just rumbling from the left. Storms pass, damage can be repaired. This is what's great about America -- democracy offers us the opportunity every four years to assess our Government leader. This is a good thing, we can always look to the future...

Got to wait til they fine me on a Covid violation. Then like MR King vs Queen her Majesty  demand where there is the evidences and data to show Covid kills greater than the ten 10 other ways to die. In which to have it thrown out of court and they adjust their laws of salvery.

I agree with you it is past time to think about standing up for our rights and our democracy. And education is the best place to start. First, educate people to look past media as an educator.  Media has become the main tool some use to collect information and use to form their opinions.

One of the problems with that is the interpretation of "our rights". Liberals interpret our rights one way while conservatives interpret our rights another. Then if a law is passed, sometimes it ends up in the courts to be interpreted. Even the Supreme Court can't solve the problem forever because SCs can go back and rerule on laws that previous SCs have decided in the past. Especially when it comes to civil rights.

Hate to break it to you, but we've had many vaccine mandates over the years.  This is not new.  Sorry that the government wants to take away Trump supporters freedoms to assault police.

Well, one party has begun arresting their political opponents.  So we'll have to decide which party is the greater authoritarian threat:

You mean the swine flu that the lab claim 18,000 death in 2009, just for a couple of months. Our immune system took care of that by the summer like all animal related viruses.
WHO report 240.000 death, they ignore their scientist stats that they hire, same with covid.

Actually, I'm not sure it will make any difference. I believe there will be a mass extinction of humans as many claim. Human populations left will form their own tribal societies and each will be run as before. Some with democratic societies (Iroquois, Cherokee), others with strong dictatorial leaders as in Europe and Asia. Do I sound pessimistic? Not really. The earth will survive, and our planet needs to be rid of a lot of parasites, just like we rid our pets of fleas.

I'm getting off topic here, but it bothers me a lot (a lot!) that our vaunted "leaders", charged with running the country, are completely unwilling to work together to find a compromise.

Your link indicates that the Democrat legislators are (mostly) in Washington DC, trying to get a federal bill passed that would do away with a state bill they don't want to see pass.  Our courts are used almost incessantly to avoid compromise.  We find politicians being impeached or in other ways forced out of office in order to avoid the necessity of compromise.  Pelosi, as I hear it, is now saying that she has the power to avoid even discussing the infrastructure bill until her own gigantic spending bill for Democrat wish list is passed and will use that power.

There just isn't a compromise any more - too many paths to get around it to get what you want for the so-called "leaders" of our nation.
