Do you believe that the best man for president is the guy that never runs?
Power hungry aspiring leaders attract corrupt people willing to do anything to show loyality.
The reality today is you have to be willing to take abuse, scrutiny and spend a billion dollars to capture a $400,000 a year job that while in it half the people will hate you. I don't know why anyone worth having the job would want to undertake the process or grief to get it.
Any person who actively pursues the office has a fundamental flaw in his character - probably megalomania. That said, it probably helps to be flawed to be able to do the job. Yes, I know, for a fact, that the "best man for president is the guy that never runs."
And the reason why I know that is true is I have not ran for that office and I never will. ;-)
