      China will take the anti US stance, and maybe side with Russia, but, usualy they do not side with any. Look at North Vietnam History for your answer. They would side and supply arms to offset Russian influences, then back of when it did not suit them. They run both ways.
      
      They definitly would be anti EU, but they sure as hell will lend them money to own something they have. They are a wildcat nation. What ever deal benifits them the most is their interest.
      
      I am not so sure the EU would even side with the US, except in a speach or two. They so far have sat down and let the US do it for them! Just token assistance only.

         I do agree with you. China always looks for its own benefit and so the most countries including the US.
         
         The US invadad Iraq for its own benefit. However, it back fired. I don't think the US will poke its nose in Iran as it has burnt its hands in Iraq. The US can not handle Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran simultaneously.

   I wish it was that simple
   if nation states were out for the interest of themselves and this world would probably preserve itself and china is indeed a wild card nation. 
   
   So I learned the realsit approach and the idealist approach to politics and nation states. The very clever enthusiastic people involved in these politics would long time ago solve war issues but instead they are being created. Supposedly for energy, water, resources etc. So its logicaly to think if we are fighting a war on terror related to energy structure of the world people think yea US is acting in their own interest to do so.
   
   If you explain to people that energy and recources can and will be hervested differntly people dont care too much. That doesnt ring a bell but its all very real and not one logical human would ever dig for oil when there are other sources for the energy that can be got  without digging.
   So we will se how the game unfolds but they will certainly play ball

   Not sure why do you think EU will side with USA, and Russia will side with Iran, should USA start another idiotic war. I would think USA and Israel will be on one side, and the rest of the world either neutral, or on another side...

   It can go down like that and highly possible.
   From past big ones europe was mostly with us. and now germany is kool with the england prussia beef. Economical ties are much more greater then how they seem. Eu is a strong union because of other factors that bind them I dont want to get conspiritorial.
   
   Just the fact that they are together and I do feel a strong media force binding them so.
   Usa does not start idiotic wars infact all major scale wars as such are not idiotic but infact accurately planed and carried out to serve the purpose.
   
   Idiots do not run the US or any other country.
   I can bring up all the connects between eu us and israel but thats not needed it too much info.
   However i do think that China is a wild card. I have been there and I get the feeling they will be the ice breaker.

      Chinas population is more than a billion, and US is almost 300 thousand,
      
      i have some questions:
      why is india (highly populated country) not included in UN Security council as member, only China, USSR, US, France and UK are permanent members?what is the basis of membership?
      
      what kind of goevenrment does china have now? capitalism and a mixture of socialism, little bit of a welfare economy?

   IRAN & Russia v U.S. & E.U. Where does China stand?
   
   I am pretty sure, if we are talking War?
   
   War: China sides with U.S. & E.U.
   
   Economics: China sides with IRAN & Russia.
   
   If you really want to talk about something?
   
   What about Israel? They are a HUGE unknown factor. They are a NUCLEAR Nation, as well, as Pakistan.
   
   If War broke out and those were the teams fighting together.
   
   Guaranteed- Israel will target IRAN the second they know the war is on. Without hestitation. And, have no doubt- it will be nuclear and very over-powering.
   
   Israel, right now isn't answering to anyone for it's actions, including the U.S. who is suppose to be their friends.
   
   But, I will tell you- War breaks out of this magnititude.
   
   You can pretty much start World War III and end humanity in one shot.

    All the western world think that they are the only group representing the whole world. They never realise that China and the Indian subcontinent are 50% of humanity.
    
    The whole war will be based on how the Chinese and Indian people react in a war. China has not involved itself in any major war except WW-2, that too because of Japan. They are a closed society and cannot make historical achievements through war. But India's history is full of wars throughout its thousands of years' history. The impact of India is going to be the deciding factor in the so-called WW-3.

       Other countries invaded India several times but India has not invaded any in last two thousand years.
       India is a peace loving spiritual country and suffered a lot. India has awaken now and is a economic power now.
       It is well positioned in its military strategy and gradually growing as a super power in military too.
       If China will join the war India will likely because of geopolitical situations..

       It is the legacy of Mao-tse-tung, who implemented cultural revolution, bringing equality among various sections of society... no religion.. no caste... no political activity... etc. Equality among men and woman not only in homes, but in workplaces, have made it possible to increase the production thousand-fold.
       (I can remember an American woman in "Family forum" arguing that men should open the doors of the car for women to facilitate eacy exit. That is not the case in China... All are equal there and no discrimination against men.)

          Communism did NOT make China more productive. (It has always and everywhere had the exact opposite effect)It was the embrace of free market reforms that (partially) set free the energy and productivity of the Chinese people. Mao's "legacy" is famine, destruction, and death.
