When you think of being an “engaged” citizen what do you consider that to be?
What are some of the things an engage citizen does?
In my opinion, an engaged citizen does not have to volunteer, donate significant money, or go out of their way for the government. An engaged citizen should (again, to me) be actively engaged in political discourse. They should be able to confidently make an educated vote when the time comes to do so. The least a citizen should do is show interest in their government.
