Is Republican indignation regarding Obama's comments about the death Osama bin Laden justified?
Obama is simply selling his achievement. Mitt Romney and Bush were/are both on record as claiming Bin Laden wasn't "that important." Perhaps that's a defensible position, but for the terms of the campaign, Romney needs to answer for his comments in 2007.
Obama didn't stand on a ship and say Mission Accomplished when it wasn't even close to being so. Iraq RECENTLY "ended," and Afghanistan is continuing indefinitely. Bush was an idiot, at least Obama ACTUALLY did give the order to kill Bin Laden, and it worked out in this case.
Did Bush ever apologize when the war was still going, long after his little political stunt?
