What was the most valuable lesson you have ever learned so far?
There are many lessons I have learned worth mentioning but perhaps the most important lesson to me is that: "the more one learns, the more there is to learn". Life is a learning experience and one should always look at life's experiences as something to learn from.
Even from a perceived negative experience we can learn something and thus, a negative experience will become a positive experience because we can say that we learned something from it. : )
There's been much learned over the last 52 years, and while all lessons are equally valuable when they have effects on our lives, I would have to say that learning to accept there is a season for all things has had the most profound effect. When we learn to allow both negatives and positives to run their course without avoiding pain and discomfort, we are better able to understand their place in our life. With such understanding, we learn that we are not hapless victims but have a hand in all that comes our way.
Few golden rules:
A big issue is just a small issue that wasn't dealt with properly at the time.
Fighting is a way of re-establishing equality. It is also a way to resolve fears we may harbour, such as that we are unloved. But don't blame or prejudge the other person, listen actively and try to stay with the issue.
