Has anyone ever met their anonymous recipient after donating blood stem cells.
Through the Anthony Nolan trust I donated blood stem cells to an anonymous recipient in 2010. The donation took place at The Royal Free Hospital in London. I've since had letters confirming the recipients well being and good progress! After a period of years contact by both parties may be made via the Trust! I consented for the recipient to contact me! I'm now having second thoughts! Is it wise to break this bond of anonymity.
I haven't had one, but my brother-in-law did, and he met his donor. It turned out that the donor lived near my parents. He and my sister brought him a small gift - nice chocolates, and said it went fine. They said, "What can you say to someone who saved your life?" I think if you've decided not to meet the person, just tell them that. I'm sure they'll understand, and if they don't, then don't worry about it. You gave them a marvelous gift.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever fallen head over heels in love with someone after only knowing them for a short time. I was camping at a gay campground over the past week, and I met a very handsome man, who I felt an immediate attraction to. You could almost say it was love at first sight....
