Do you think the government should grant green cards to the young illegal immigrants?

A few months back Obama granted deferral for the young illegal immigrants who were brought by their parents and stayed here ever since. Do you think that instead of giving them deferrals the government should give them green cards so they can have social security card, can work legally and can be accommodated by the system in terms of social welfare?
After the two years deferral, can they be granted green cards? What is your opinion about this?

Unless you are a citizen of the United States, I do not think anyone should be entitled to the things you have mentioned.

Absolutely yes, they have done nothing wrong and they are now much more American than from wherever they come from, many of them don't even remember their birth country or even speak the language.
No man or woman with compassion can advocate sending those people back to a country they know nothing about and where they have nothing.

It's adults and kids who were brought over as kids by their parents, a situation where they had no control and did nothing wrong.

Why would they pick only the young? To support the older American generation?  To keep the others with low wages?

This whole discussion ticks me off because they are here illegally. There would be no discussion like this if we entered Mexico illegally.  We would be deported or jailed!

So we should set our moral bar by the standard of other nations? Two wrongs make a right? There is a clear and ethical path, sending people who were brought here as children back to a country they know nothing of is the opposite of moral.

What is your problem? This has nothing to do with moral bar. This is about law!  You cannot enter a country illegally without consequences.  What is so hard to understand about laws and consequences?  Look what happened in Iran. 3 Americans prisoned!
