No. But that's because I have the luxury now of staying at home to greet and take care of our 5 year old daughter after school (and make sure she gets there). The four hours I have in between, I write to generate a passive income (slowly building it up!), do housework and all those fun things a stay-at-home mum gets to do!
My husband isn't lazy. He works a full-time job, but he's doing that so I can do what I love doing, so I don't see why he should equally contribute. He still helps out though, especially if I ask and need the help to stay on top.
Prior to my daughter starting school, when we were both working full time and our daughter was in long day care, we did share the housework. He liked vacuuming and I loved mowing the lawn.
This is a good question, but you will not get a true sense of whether they both do contribute equally, or not.
Those that do, will boast about it and those that don't will deny it, and the spouses who feel they are doing more that their other half does will certainly voice their opinions the loudest, even if what they say is true or not. L.O.L.
Ideally, if both of the couples living together have equal status in the work place, they should both contribute equally. OR, if one partner works and the other stays home with children, then the one staying at home should be doing the majority of chores around the house (with the help of the children of course).
He cooks, I clean. But equally, not always. My work schedule is more organized than his so I have a regular cleaning routine on Saturdays. On his day's off, he takes care of the yard. An interesting trade off. Our allergies make it crazy at times. Him to grass and pollen, me to lotions and soaps and dust. But the house always looks fine.
I would say it is pretty equal now that we are both retired. I did more inside when the kids were small and he worked. He has always taken care of the yards, cars etc. But he has been really helpful with housework now that the we are both home and the kids are grown.

It's true.. I don't care how much you deny it but if you have more than one child, you have a favourite child. Yes you will utterly deny it if someone asked you who your favourite kid was. Hell I bet the majority of you that will reply to the post will say "oh I love my kids all the...

Should a man help out in the kitchen or with other chores around the house?Studies have shown that most women are displeased with their husbands because the said husbands do not help with household chores no matter how little, leaving everything to the wife.
