Should Americans mind that Kerry was yachting while Egypt was going through a coup?
We found out that our Secretary of State John Kerry was not reporting for duty during the Egyptian revolution-do-over/coup/re-Arab Spring/whathaveyou and was in fact, out yachting. Shouldn't he have been at work or is that really too much to ask from this ex-swiftboater?
I would think that being fairly new to his job, he would have wanted to be there to know what was happening. It seems however, that vacations, holidays, and campaigning are the top priorities for this administration.
They of course have people working for them who should be able to handle these problems, but a good leader would be there.
In the case of John Kerry, perhaps it is better that he stayed away?
I never thought about that Poolman, but come to think about it, that can be said of Biden as well.
Bush broke all the vacation records, as I recall.
Well Ralph, I believe as in the case of Kerry, these were classified as "working vacations." I guess it depends if you are looking at it from the Right or the Left as to how you personally see them.
The Big O broke Bush's record and they weren't even working vacations!
FYI, Cassie, Kerry was a decorated Vietnam veteran who was "swiftboated" by evil partisan pre-Tea Party Republicans John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi. Had it not been for the lying swiftboat attacks he might well have been elected President in 2003. Kerry has been working his butt off since his appointment and was on a well-deserved vacation in Maine when the protests began in Egypt. Don't you supposed he was briefed and consulted on the situation constantly during his vacation?
You OMG so-and-so-went-on-a-vacation people really crack me up. Do you live in the same world as the rest of us? Where exactly are these vacations where someone is transported to an alternate universe and end up completely out of touch with the world? Even if that was the case, I still wouldn't have an objection, but it is perfectly obvious and logical to anyone with any brain matter at all that these individuals are still in the loop, still aware of what is happening, and still making command decisions.
"Secretary Kerry worked around the clock all day including participating in the President's meeting with his national security council." So what exactly is the problem? This is nothing but a cheap smear from someone who really has nothing significant to say.
meanwhile, the T Bag congress has "worked" 158 days.......invading my vagina, and preventing Americans from voting. Any R who complains about anyone not working is a phony and a hypocrite.
Great junkie, you just described liberals during the Bush Administration. LOL!
I thought that had a familiar ring to it. Now I remember the Bush years and all the criticism from the Left when he worked at his ranch.

It occurred to me to wonder why all of a sudden the 30 year lid has come off the Egyptian masses. Wikileaks leaked documents indicate that Israeli intelligence thought Mubarak's Egypt was stable right up to the protests exploded. There have been some indications that the Egyptian...

Staying at a 20 million dollar mansion while many Americans struggle to pay their mortgage, buy food and clothing and pay bills, the president once again, proves he is all about him and the rest of us can go to hell in a handbasket. Our 401k's take another beating, but he could care less since he...

Which one is usually more fun, the planned out vacations or the spur of the moment road trips?Although both can be a blast, which one do you normally have more fun on the planned out 2 week vacations, or the spur of the moment pack a bag and hit the beach or national park? Sometimes I used to...
