   Should Americans mind that Kerry was yachting while Egypt was going through a coup?
   
   We found out that our Secretary of State John Kerry was not reporting for duty during the Egyptian  revolution-do-over/coup/re-Arab Spring/whathaveyou and was in fact, out yachting.  Shouldn't he have been at work or is that really too much to ask from this ex-swiftboater?

   I would think that being fairly new to his job, he would have wanted to be there to know what was happening.  It seems however, that vacations, holidays, and campaigning are the top priorities for this administration.
   They of course have people working for them who should be able to handle these problems, but a good leader would be there.
   In the case of John Kerry, perhaps it is better that he stayed away?

      Well Ralph, I believe as in the case of Kerry, these were classified as "working vacations."  I guess it depends if you are looking at it from the Right or the Left as to how you personally see them.

   FYI, Cassie, Kerry was a decorated Vietnam veteran who was "swiftboated" by evil partisan pre-Tea Party Republicans John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi. Had it not been for the lying swiftboat attacks he might well have been elected President in 2003. Kerry has been working his butt off since his appointment and was on a well-deserved vacation in Maine when the protests began in Egypt. Don't you supposed he was briefed and consulted on the situation constantly during his vacation?

   You OMG so-and-so-went-on-a-vacation people really crack me up. Do you live in the same world as the rest of us? Where exactly are these vacations where someone is transported to an alternate universe and end up completely out of touch with the world? Even if that was the case, I still wouldn't have an objection, but it is perfectly obvious and logical to anyone with any brain matter at all that these individuals are still in the loop, still aware of what is happening, and still making command decisions.
   
   "Secretary Kerry worked around the clock all day including participating in the President's meeting with his national security council." So what exactly is the problem? This is nothing but a cheap smear from someone who really has nothing significant to say.
