Should Obama have used Martin's death to promote his gun control legislation?
I thought it was pretty crass.
no and he should never have even interjected himself into the case at all nor that other case some yrs ago where he had the beer fest with the police officer and the black professor who got arrested....or something like that.
I've never before seen a president get involved in run of the mill, everyday criminal kinds of stuff, police activity, etc.---it's odd to me---he should be above this kind of thing--he also should keep his yap shut until all the facts come out--I find Obama odd in this respect---
he is a global figure and should leave criminal stuff to the police, judges, courts, juries, etc.
If he did, I would laugh. Those who believed he was not threatened would back Obama. But those who believe he was threatened shot Martin out of protection wouldn't back Obama. That would be a tricky situation that Obama was wise not to get into.
And how is it that Obama used Martin's death to promote his gun control legislation?
