Have you see an act of kindness that makes you clap out loud?
As I was heading home from running errands this afternoon, I saw a police officer giving a guy on the side of the road a jump from the police vehicle! I literally clapped out loud!
Simple acts of kindness come in many forms....from giving someone a drink of water, opening a door for the elderly or mom tending to children with arms full and strollers. There are many situations and occasions in between these .....we just have to have eyes to see the opportunities and act upon them. Sometimes a simple smile can be such a kindness when all you see around you are frowns! Be blessed and prosper.
Very true! It amazes how many people will stop at crosswalks when I'm walking my dog. But if I'm walking my kids, it seems they drive faster.
awww...Waiting with my daughters in the self-checkout line holding our groceries at the store today, an elderly man with a young grandson bumped his cart into an isle display and knocked it, and all the little bottles it was holding, all over the floor. Everyone in line sees this happen, and then continues waiting in line. My youngest, 6, looks at me and goes, "mom, should we help him pick..." and before she even finished her sentence she set her box of crackers on the floor and was on the ground picking up the display. My oldest, 8, put her crackers on the floor and was right there replacing all the bottles. It was my turn to check out so I dropped my armful at the register, went back for the floor food, and checked out my items. They were within eyeshot so I just let them do their thing, then after everything was cleaned up they came back to join me. A lady in line took the time to tell me she was happy to see two girls that had been raised right. They really are just good people. My youngest noticed that everyone around was talking about them, and goes "mom, I think we're famous", which got this little fashionista really, really excited lol
Be well.
That's a wonderful story! I was standing in line once with my son when he was 5 behind a very elderly lady. She dropped a quarter. He picked it up for her. The customer behind us bought him an ice cream
A friend of my husbands was in the queue in a supermarket, and there was a girl in front of him on the phone, promising her mum that she was eating well. All she had was a red pepper, and when he commented that it wasn't enough to eat well, she said she is a med school student, and that the pepper was all she could afford. He bought some cheese and some bread that he was intending to have himself, and gave it to her to take home, so she would have enough to eat, and saw her eating it in the car park afterwards. It made me proud to know him; he is an absolute saint in my eyes.
That's very touching! It reminds me of my sister. She lives in an area where homelessness is common. She used to share her lunch with the homeless people who lived under the bridge outside of the back door to the store she worked at.

We know the words and most know there is a good movie version that has John Wayne standing there in awe afterwords who said: "Surely this man was the Son of God!" But I ask this question: Why did Jesus Christ say these words out loud?Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for...

What is the last thing that made you LOL (laugh out loud) and why?I think laughter is the best medicine and sometimes all we need to lift our mood is a bit of laughter - and when we see others laugh, it often makes us feel good as well. So share the last thing that made you laugh. Mine was a...
