    What MAKES religion and the church so attractive to women?

    Women oftentimes ARE the majority of the churchgoing population. They are also the bulwarks of their churches. They are the ones who participate the most in church activities i.e. Sunday school instruction, implementing church activities,etc.

    First of all, women in particular are looking to be rescued...for a savior, so this may be part of the reason why they are quicker to come to Christ than men. Plus, women are fine tuners. We take all the broad ideas that men come up with, and cause it to manifest by filling in the details that guys overlook or miss. So in the grand scheme of the institution of church, there are a lot of areas that need fine tuning, and since the men are so absent in stepping up in a lot of churches, this would be the reason. However, I will say, I've seen a lot more men in the church of late, and stepping up than ever before. I guess it depends on the institution. Be blessed.
