Is peace even possible to be observe in the next 10 years? Why?
I am a student of International Relations and aside from the research and readings I made, it is better to seek opinions on the topic I was assigned to discuss.
World Peace? Never. Impossible. The world population is near 7 billion. That is over 7 billion different minds of consciousness, bodies, and souls (use any definition). An example is discover a forum or chat room where peace occurs for any length of time and I almost can guarantee that forum or chat room has an occupancy of two or less.
Individual Peace . . . certainly
A Peaceful world is another question . . . ?
How is peace defined? Hitler wanted peace, on his terms. Is a world peace the subjugation of all peoples? Perhaps, we need to define peace and how it is manifested in reality. Marxist Socialism advocates a world wide peace based on a mandated equality of all people, a blind and obedient adherence to government, except those in government. The American Constitution advocates a peace based upon individual freedom, without blind obedience. Theocracies advocate peace based on the same principles as Marxism. Is peace a herding process where all are cattle and engineered to accommodate the wants of a government, as in human resource?
A utopia is a promise of dictators. What are you being taught?
Of the 'isms' mentioned, which has brought more to the world, which has resulted in devastation?
Not likely. Conflict is part of nature. Humans, animals, insects are always fighting. There may be higher ways that humans cannot comprehend yet. But until then, there are two ways. One, cultivate your own inner peace and forget about the world because the world does not really want peace. Two, blow up the world. If there is nothing here, there will be peace. lol.

Although I wrote a poem about this topic a while back, depicting my critique on current modern day society about war and how we tend to favor celebrities over soldiers, that put their lives on the line everyday for us. However, it seems some people misunderstood the message of my poem, as...

The Senator from Nevada, Reid, says a Bain Capital employee told him Mitt Romney did not pay taxes for 10 years. If this proves to be true, does this change anything? Won't some people simply regard Romney as more of a hero, wishing they could do the same thing.
