Why do we not hear more stories of heroes like John Keller, hurricane Katrina super-hero?
John Keller is the awesome big guy in the middle. Ingenious, bad arse, caring, resourceful, former marine, protector/enforcer, hope giver. There are many more like him, if you learn of his countless selfless actions that saved well over 200 people you will be amazed. A movie about his countless selfless actions (The American Can) has been in the works for years but keeps getting put on hold. His story was told in part on an episode of Hardcore Heroes on the History Channel and AHC. There are many like him, why do we not hear their stories in the media or even in movies/entertainment?
Perhaps the heroes were not media savvy and they were content with what they did, rather than broadcasting to the outer world all that they did.
Well said but it would be nice to hear true stories of good news and good people. Mr. Keller has traveled quite a bit telling his story, in the US and abroad, still his story is not well known. Sad, because his concern for others is inspiring.
