years will become an actuality or is it merely an exaggeration? Why? Why not? National Geographic magazine has predicted that by 2050, Caucasians will be a distinct minority as America is becoming increasingly multiracial and non-Caucasian.
Before the 1960s, Hispanics were classified as white.
Caucasians will only be a minority if Hispanics, approaching a quarter of the population, are classified separately. Otherwise, they are Caucasians with Spanish names.
