I think that is because some people hope to have these people follow back.  But following too many people can actually lower your hub score.  Other times it might be you have interesting hubs

I think the OP means why do people have "blind faith". But that's just me.

Thank you.  I wish sometimes they add a little to their question to clear things up.  When you ask a question you always provide more so we know what you are asking

LoisRyan its an overall question whether you take it as a religious wise or as a materialistic wise

Yes.  It can be interpreted in different ways.  I had another question like that too

Comfort, fear, low self esteem, lazy, inability to think for themselves, and low IQ just to name a few. Anyone unable to think rationally about whatever choices they make is lacking something mentally. Which means we are all lacking once in a while, but most of the people I know who blind follow do it for comfort or because of fear.

Fear of hell if it's religion. Fear of not fitting in. Fear of failing those who love them and want them to be part of the same thing.

Some people are mentally (and otherwise) lazy. Others may want to please others for whatever reason or may believe there will be harsh consequences if they question, change course, or act in a different manner. Unfortunately for many people, they are raised to be followers. They are taught that children should not be heard, must obey and never question, and things along these lines. Some are harshly punished to reinforce this and they continue this way of life as adults, not questioning, not changing course, not embracing their differences.

People don't follow anything "blindly". They follow exactly who and what they want to follow.

thats your point of view but I see many blind followers

That is not a point of view. That is a fact. People know exactly what they are doing. Blind following is used to create wiggle room for them.

I have seen many blind followers who follow their clerics even if they know that they are not guiding them correctly

Exactly. I don't want to get into any religious debate. Followers are aware it is not correct and yet follow the person or whatever it is knowingly. So there is no blind following.

Blind following, name itself says.. those who are 'Blind', follow others. Here Blind is a irony and a mocking on how people follow others as if they are naturally blind..! So why and what kind of people follow blindly?

    People who,

    1. Cannot make proper decisions and can't take their own decisions, seek from others or just follow what they do.

    2. Lack courage to take any step, fearing its outcome think it's easy to follow others who have achieved same successfully

    3. Are not confident on themselves and so on their techniques of doing certain activities. Basically such people follow those who are confident..!

    4. Are really lazy to even think and perform so they feel, its easy to just follow I mean, copy paste from others instead of wasting time and effort..!

These are basic and general tendencies of how people who follow blindly think and act.. :-)
