With all the baggage Mrs. Clinton brings to the 2016 election process what is her strength?
Strengths of Hillary Clinton
1. Survived all the inquiries about her misdeeds since the 60s.
2. Wealthy
3. Only 1 opponent running against her for the democrats.
4. She is a Woman running against an Old White Dude.
5. Bill Clinton
I think your last two "strengths" should probably be listed with her weaknesses. LOL
That could be true. Number 4 didn't help in 2008, even for the vp position
Although, i think that Hillary had control of Bill.
#2 could be itemized, and the list is quite long dating at least back beyond "travel gate" when she played a roll in replacing the White House travel staff with cronies following false allegations of 'financial irregularities." Teflon?
Miss Hillary's strengths are many:
1. First Lady of Arkansas for 12 years.
2. First Lady of the United States for 8 years and had the ear of the President whodepending on whether you have the viewpoint of a Democrat or Republican, may have balanced the budget and left a surplus.
3. Senator from New York for 8 years.
4. Secretary of State for 4 years.
5. She is a practicing Christian (Methodist). In case it matters to you, there are no doubts about her religion
6. She is a U.S. citizen. No doubts about her origins.
Miss Hillary has the most all-around experience of any of the candidates of either party. While Bernie tries to play up his experience, it is all one-sided, being in the Senate. In fact, none of the other candidates have the international experience that she has. The Donald is a businessman with no experience in running a government. We saw what happened in two years in our state when a businessman was elected governor. Bill Clinton was re-elected in the next election hands down. He had a real mess on his hands to straighten out.
No matter how people try to criticize her for Benghazi, as she said, she was responsible for 200 embassies, not just the one in Bengazhi. There were other people responsible for the funding and implementation of protection for Bengazhi, but you don't see them being criticized in the media for not coming through. The emails, piffle, a tempest in a teapot. Her private server probably was a CIA server and more secure than the Whitehouse server, but they can't admit that.
Good points, but I hasten to point out that other than governing staff including Benghazi, Bill, and her personal assistants, she has no governing experience, but lots of party experience & fund raising schmooze.
Great question, Demas. I believe a wealth of experience inevitably brings baggage. Her strength in my opinion is her experience. I'm old school so I tend to lean toward candidates who have the most experience. Therefore, I take Mrs. Clinton's baggage in context, most of which does not outweigh her accomplishments, intelligence, and knowledge as an experienced politician. Every candidate brings "baggage" but not all are sufficiently qualified to hold the office of president.
This is a most difficult question to provide an answer to. However, perhaps her greatest strength is her ability to turn a weakness into a significant non - issue and to gain significant funding/monies from our enemies...
I respected what I heard from Governor O'Malley in the Democrat debates. How is it that the largest political party in the USA could not find more than three capable, talented candidates who were willing to campaign for the highest office Democrats aspire to hold?

If you could change 1 and only 1 thing about the US election process, what would it be?Nothing is off the table - eliminate only 1 thing and state why you chose it and the expected improvements we'd see. Try not to be the person saying they need to put two or three ideas or several connected...

Has Trump lost this election? Is it over for him?He seems to be saying more and more things to piss people off. After the comment about the Kahn family, it appears that many Republicans are turning to Hilary, and the party is turning against him. Then he made comments about the...

The more I hear about this upcoming election the more confused I get.One of the so called "Delegates" even loudly proclaimed it was they who choose the next winner, not the voters. What if all Primaries were held on the exact same day? What if we did away with the Electoral College? What if...

Clinton's popular vote win was basically her win in California - by 4 million + votes. Take California away from Clinton, and Trump wins by a landslide. The Electoral College prevented this bias of one state forcing it's will on the rest of the nation - which is why it was put into place when the...

What lesson did you learn post the 2016 election of Trump? This is not a trick question. It is addressed to anyone, no particular political group. I am a conservative and I did not support either candidate. However, I also learned an important lesson. The lesson I learned is that politics is a nasty...
