Debates, and Polls, and Media Drolls, surely there must be a better way to pick a US president?
Since the creation of Cable News we have been deluged with debates, polls and both of them analyzed, but not pasteurized for viewer consumption. They are still used today, and when compared with the results of the previous presidential elections appear to be ineffective in choosing the right person for the presidency.
Isn't the best way to determine the president by basing their views on first what are the critical issues of the country in order of importance, and second how they plan to solve it.
For those people that have been in office, their record should be at the top of their campaign.
To paraphrase Winston Churchill, democracy is the worst way to pick a leader, but it is still better than all the other ways.

Why is the libertarian nominee Gary Johnson getting ZERO media attention? He never makes it to the news, my local station has never mentioned him, and half the people in the country don't even know he is running for president. So why does the media ignore the fact he is a presidential nominee?

Having watched two of the GOP Presidential debates first hosted by Fox and then one hosted by CNN it sickens me the way they both decided to format the questions and answers. These are not debates as none of the time is spent on how the candidates will solve anything with any resolve instead...

Who do you think will do better in the Presidential Debates, Obama or Romney? Now that the Conventions are over, we can get back to the actual campaigns. A key part of both campaigns is to nail the Presidential Debates. Will the President do better, or will Romney? Why do you think so?
