What do you think about US President Barack Obama going over to visit Hiroshima?

It's been 70 years since the end of WWII and a lot has happened and mostly good for the nation of Japan. Do you think it is a good idea for our President to visit Hiroshima now? The site of the first atom bomb used to end the war with Japan.

It would be great if he could undo all the damage that was done but that of course would be impossible.

I think there are other matters more deserving of his time and effort than something that happened 70 years ago.

These wasted trips cost we taxpayers millions of dollars and really accomplish nothing except to build his legacy.

I just hope he doesn't apologize for us when we didn't do anything wrong. If anything, people that knows their history, knows that the use of atomic bomb saved many lives on both sides by ending the war.

Obama is the supreme apologist for America.  The Japanese Army was a relentless army.  One can say that they were hellbent.  Something had to be done to end the war in the Pacific.  What is Obama "thinking"?
